Recently purchased fabric in Scotland to make a couple quilts

I gave it 5 Stars because of the design, I'm always looking for something different and I have several different methods of attaching depending on what the project is... Of course, with all the twist & turns it is best to hand sew it down with a blind stitch..

I have Gail Lawther's Celtic Quilting. I was afraid this would be a repeat of the first book, but no, all the projects and designs are different. I like this book better because it is more bold and beautiful. This is a good book for either beginners or long time stitchers. You don't need the first book to make sense of the second one.

Nice to look at, but not really a how-to book, although it gives directions. Very pretty pictures.

So many times the photos are lacking with help for the actual construction of the project, these were spot on....just wonderful. Made heirloom quality projects from my first try with this wonderful book!

Not as many new patterns as I'd hoped.

I love this book, easy to follow. Great pictures . I've already made two of the patterns from this book, can't wait to make more.

Not a particularly inspirational book. It's okay and some of the ideas can be adapted. But yet another spectacle case, more herb sachets. Does anyone ever really make these. They've been done to death in craft books and are a bit of a cheat in my opinion. The first book is so much better.

I love quilting, trapunto and corded quilting and wanted to try out some celtic designs on different pieces and this book was great for that although I've had to supplement with other celtic design books as there wasn't a huige choice, but still a good book

A good resource for experienced quilters, opens a whole bundle of inspirational ideas. Instructions are good and designs easy to reproduce but not for the novice. I love the way it is laid out so you can dip in and create wonderful pieces of work. Already started a project.
