I just did a quick query on my Amazon account to find out how many pounds of pumpkin seeds I have ordered over the last few years. It turns out that I've ordered and consumed 25 pounds of pumpkin seeds in four years! I really enjoy pumpkin seeds and have ordered them from a few different sources here on Amazon. But this latest two-pound batch from GERBS sets a new standard in my book. Absolutely delicious! I don't have the the proper words to describe the freshness and flavor, but I will just say that these tasted the most "pumpkinish" to me so far. They are super fresh, and super tasty, and that's coming from someone who really fancies pumpkin seeds! LOL. I did notice on the bag that this batch was grown in Canada, and they taste like they are fresh from the farm. In my experience, the more local the seeds, the better the taste. A big thank you to our friends up north for growing a fine product!

I absolutely love this company. Gerbs is an example of what happens when intelligent, motivated people put their minds to something. In my house, there is someone with a severe peanut / tree nut allergy. As in, death by ingestion and cross contamination. In order to take include seeds in my diet, it's not possible to use any mainstream brands because they generally have no idea how their food actually gets handled and the life cycle of their products. Enter "Gerbs". They understood how to source, handle and distribute seeds and other products without exposure to the top allergens. Not only are their seeds free of nut and other cross-contamination issues, they're just better seeds. From the pumpkin seeds to the sunflower seeds, they are all incredible. The only thing I could possibly ask for from Gerbs is to make their lightly salted seeds a little bit less salty. But I am really salt sensitive, so I get why I'm asking that. I tried several lower priced brands and was disappointed. GERBS has offered pumpkin seeds from Mexico and now Canada and the taste has always been spectacular. I eat these raw or air fry 280° to 350°, anywhere from 8 to 13 minutes. I cool them on parchment paper, letting them pop open from higher temperatures as they cool. Raw is healthier, 350° makes for a really tasty & crisp treat. I slide them into a jar, (and before they are too cool) add a tablespoon or two of olive oil and salt to taste, and shake. Especially when eaten raw and added to other foods (salads, cereal, even meats), they make for better chewing and, arguably, better digestion.

Tastes good but not grown in US

These are great. We go through about 150g/week as I use it to make granola. Very good quality. Very fresh, and from Mexico - not China (my issue with from-China is lack of food safety enforcement, and Mexico is actually better than the US in terms of protecting workers from pesticides). The packaging has been so-so. They had previously come in bags with zip-lock closures, and I had one of those come open in the freezer. No they come in a bag that needs to be cut to open, which IMO is better, as I then *know* I need to move them to my own airtight container. So long as GERBS keeps selling these, I'll keep buying. I've found a winner.

These things are awesome. GREAT flavor! VERY healthy! I finally found something that satisfies my urge to snack that is not junk food. Very clean seeds - no husks. Thick packaging helps keep the product fresh because, let's face it, even for me it takes a while to eat 2 lbs of these yummy little buggers. Price is extremely reasonable also. We spend much more on chocolate, chips, and that garbage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I buy Gerbs sunflower seeds regularly and the price has really escalated so I thought I'd try the pumpkin seeds. I bought it raw and roasted it myself and it turned out delicious. I roast my sunflower seeds too. The price is high but the products are good. I would buy again unless I can buy raw pumpkin seeds in bulk here in Hawaii.
