love this little radio
Used this for about 2 weeks now. Reception is excellent. Picks up stations I wasn't able to pick up with my old Sony Walkman radio. Metal case is durable. Sound quality is excellent. Learning curve for all the functions is about 15-20 minutes. The power on button is touchy. A short press puts it in sleep down mode starting from 90 minutes. Must do a long press to power it on. Battery life isn't as good as a radio that takes regular batteries, starts to drain after about 6-8 hours, but it's rechargeable like a cell phone, in fact I recharge it with my cell phone charger. When wearing the it via the neckstrap the neckstrap, earbud cable will get all twisted up, the radio seems to swing and flop around with every stride. Solution is to just slip it down your shirt so the shirt keeps the radio from flopping. Would buy again.

Good overall, ear phones not comfortable
I have had two Sony walkmans in the past. My latest one is many years old and I have to recharge after 2 hours of use. Since I only use it for listening to the radio and not any of the other features, I was paying too much for it. This Tech radio I use everyday and so far it has been worth the money. It was difficult to set up, my husband ended up setting the stations for me and I couldn’t use the earphones very well. They were too large and kept falling out of my ears. I just switched it with my old earphones from my Sony. You do need the built in antenna if you do that. Sound quality is good and it stays on the station like it should. I just recharged it, so it lasted me two weeks of daily one hour use during my walks, before having to recharge. It was down to one bar. So it would have been 5 stars if it was easier to set up and if the earphones hadn’t been too large. Sound quality is good for what it cost.

Lightweight, small size, good sound quality. Liked it enough to buy it again!
ORIGINAL REVIEW - Purchased as a replacement for an older compact Toshiba FM radio. Digital tuning is very convenient. Radio arrived on March 8. Charged it fully at that time, and just recharged on March 31. Use it 60 - 90 minutes per day. My only dislike is the multi function button on the side of the radio used for On, Off, Mute and Sleep delay depending on the state of the radio. Press and hold to turn on and to turn off. However, If the radio is off, just touching the button turns the radio on for 90 minutes. To turn it off again you have to press and hold to button. It takes only the slightest touch to start the 90 minute timer, so it's very easy to trigger this "sleep mode" by accident when picking up the radio. Easy to consume battery life 90 minutes at a time if you're not careful. JANUARY 2026 FOLLOW UP REVIEW. Purchased this same item again to replace the first unit. The irritating multi-function side button of my first purchase finally failed. I searched for a replacement among Amazon's offerings but couldn't find anything as light, convenient, affordable, etc., so I bought the same item a second time. This time, I actually read the instructions included in the box and found it easy to set up -- as long as you follow through step-by-step exactly. It is easy to recharge, relatively easy to program, has no external antenna but still has decent sound quality. I use it daily to listen to the morning news for a couple of hours.

Personal Radio
It sucks. I received the order late due to Amazon's recent issues. I was so excited to finally receive it. Couldn't wait to use it. Once I received it, I read the instructions. But nothing, it is not programable, and it doesn't work at all. Very disappointed !!!

Works as advertised
I ordered this product to use the sleep mode when going to bed. It works great for that purpose. Sleep mode directions seemed clear to me (and I'm no techy). Features I like: very small and lightweight; raised control buttons (like volume control) are easy to use in the dark; sound quality is very good with earphones; battery life is good so far; love the sleep mode, which can be adjusted down from 90 minutes in 10-minute increments very easily; despite what I read in some reviews, I thought the directions were easy enough to follow...and I'm 75 and have probably lost a few brain cells.

SoSo. good sound and light weight
Let me share the good points first. - great sound - small, lightweight - great reception - it is AM+FM, which is not easily found these days - some of us are about music and mind. The rest of my thoughts on this little radio. I really wanted to love this enough to get a second one and one for a family member. It arrived looking as though it was already used, yet it was new according to the purchase info. I'm pretty sure. It was half charged. When I chose it I didn't realise it is an internal bat that gets recharged via the usb, as many moder devices do. That kind of was a let down. It doesn't charge enough or quickly imo. Then there is supposed to be a favorites setting. My hubby was able to set my AM stations up but the FM he couldn't get them for me. So my hands are not great, I have to scan for the FM choices and lose them everytime. The last let down is the lock feature isn't a slide type lock. It's a push down button. If you are an active person it will release unbeknownst to you. For me not only does this happen but also the power button gets hit 'off'. I hear silence, look down and see what has happened.

This is a quality product backed by good customer service
I received this radio 2 days ago and noticed the battery level indicator showed 2 of 3 bars so I charged it overnight. I the morning I still had 2 bars. I contacted the company by email and asked if the radio had a defect. in less than 1 hour I received a response which asked for an address where they could ship a replacement. That is customer service. In another hour I received an email informing me a replacement had shipped. Other than the stated issue the radio is great. The reception is better than anything I have ever tried. The controls are very simple and intuitive. The sound quality is very good for a portable. Even with the battery issue, I have had the radio on all day and it is still showing 1 bar. The manufacturer Baofeng also makes low-cost ham radios which also work great for the price.

The instructional manual might as well be in a foreign language for all the use it is. It wouldn't even open to display the setting where the radio is set up. I tried various combinations hoping i find something that worked, but sadly no joy. Hard to understand why a company like Amazon would sell a product that has a history of not working. It seems from other reviews that its regular occurrence.

Muy buen tamaño y fácil de usar. La única falla es que no siempre sintoniza las estaciones de AM
