I was installing a trailer hitch in a 6 year old Acura MDX and 2 of the frame-embedded threads for the 14mm bolts were rusted enough that I couldn’t get the bolts in. This set came to my rescue, just ran the 14x1.5 tap through to clean out the threads and I could get the bolt all the way in with just my fingers. The set looks like it is high quality - I was attracted by the tungsten steel in the description. I can’t assess long term durability or appropriateness for using this set in a professional setting but I think it’s all a home diy’er would ever need. Very happy with my purchase and the price can’t be beat. The case, which arrived in perfect condition, has the brand name “Vevor” on it. I included a photo of the Crescent ratchet I used to turn the tap in a confined space - it really worked out well as the included tap wrench was too long. FYI, the set is 100% metric and there are 2 of each tap size.

I couldn’t be happier. It has every size I’ve needed so far, both metric and SAE, which saves me from running to the store mid-project. The tools feel solid, not cheap or flimsy, and they cut clean threads without stripping or binding up. The case keeps everything organized so I’m not digging around for the right piece. For the price, this is one of the most useful sets I’ve added to the shop. Highly recommend if you want a reliable all-in-one set that actually works.

Received today, tried the m3-.5 and m6-1.0 taps on hot rolled steel and aluminum.They cut threads decently and the M6, in a 0.200 hole in steel (nearly 100% threads in theory) did a good jobBut the tap wrenches supplied are terrible. There are three, the small one is just poorly made, and the larger two won't stay tight during use. I have better tap wrenches and just used those.I haven't tried the dies yet.Bottom line for me-a decent set that covers pretty much every metric size I expect to need. I already had good tap wrenches so don't care about the crappy ones included.

My collection of many types of tools acquired over the years were always Craftsman. Guaranteed for life and made in America. That all ended when I noticed that Craftsman (among others) now comes from China. From China!!! Stuff of all kinds comes out of one door, so to speak, from China. Now, name recognition and reputation are no longer a consideration in decision making of any product. Now, for me, it comes down to cost and application. You are on your own to determine what will work for you.

Used it a few times, and saves you when you are against something when it unexpectedly happens. Great kit with my pieces.

I purchased this product cautiously based on the price but optimistically based on what I had seen. It arrived fairly quickly and the case was very nice. I like the fact that there was a huge all metric set with lots of duplicates. That's where the good endedOnce I actually opened the case and grabbed a tap to go use it, I noticed that the tap had a manufacturing defect that would have destroyed the hole it was going to go through. This led me to start checking out all of them and I found more than just a few that were damaged straight out of the package. Enough to the point that I wasn't comfortable keeping the kit because I would have had to replace so many of them to have a usable kit. I ended up returning this and will definitely have to go find something else.

I needed some larger taps at work and I saw this set. I figured I would give it as try since it was the quickest way to get what I needed. The quality of the set seems lesser than that of more well known brands, but it did the job. There are a LOT of doubles in the set, so take that into account when looking at how many pieces are included. I haven't broken one yet, but I think the extras are there because they're not meant to survive daily use.
