Heng's (90037-C1) 12V Vent Motor

I ordered two for my camper bathroom vent and range vent fan. One worked fine, but I needed to mod drill new holes and the peg to put into the fan was too wide. The other didn't work at all, and neither amazon nor the seller will refund or replace the item. What the hell?! Just selling broken stuff and no one has the consumer's back? Don't buy! Also doesn't come with screws, and the wires are soldered onto the terminals, so you can't remove them if you want to.

Said it was a hengs motor and it was not. Should have been .85 amps and was 1.6 amps. Returned it for a refund

This motor is no good for Ventline model V2094 as it turns in a counter clockwise direction pushing air into the bathroom from outside. The original turns clockwise which pulls air out of the bathroom to the outside. I only discovered this after drilling out the motor bracket to accept the larger boss on the new motor, drilling 2 new holes through the bracket cause the screw holes are different, going to the hardware to buy metric screws because the original screws are to small. Also I ruined the fan blade by drilling out the center hole because the shaft is larger on the new motor. Other than that the new motor is much stronger than the original and is 1/3 the cost.

I decided to order this motor based on the reviews, particularly on the ease of installation. The motor did not even come close to fitting the mounting bracket in our 2003 gulf stream sunseaker motor home. I had to modify the bracket by drilling new holes and tap new threads in the motor to accept standard thread screws. The motor did not come with screws. This was a frustrating and time consuming experience.

JUNK, low quality. IT IS PRIME BUT YOU CAN NOT RETURN IT. THIS IS BS. IT MAKES MORE NOISE AT START UP THAN MY ORIGINAL ONE. You can hear it 25+ feet from my tall fifth wheel.The no returns is the worst. I buy a lot off of amazon and this is the first company that has stuck me with a defective part. BUYER BE WARE. If you push up on the shaft of the motor it will quiet down for a little bit. And so many offs and ons it will every now and then quiet down. It acts like it is worn out. Some one else’s return?

The item received is not what was advertised. It has a higher Amp draw (1.6 vs .85 amps), and not the M3 model and the mounting holes do not match. The item is not returnable which is not clear during order. It feels like a scam as far as I'm concerned. Lost $$ on this one. Going to rethink ordering from Amazon again.

Bought this to replace the motor in my Jensen range hood that went out. Same brand and amperage as the old motor (the only difference was the date of manufacture) but this motor was 3x as loud as the old one. There was also an oscillating rattle that rhythmically faded in and out. Perhaps something inside the motor was off balance??? Whatever the cause this motor was not usable with the noise issues it caused.

Finally installed this motor a Year after purchasing. The old one suddenly started working again right after I got the new one. So I left it until it finally died this year. Installation was fairly easy and it works just fine so far. Just as quiet as the old one. Would be helpful if they included mounting screws with it also as I nearly destroyed the head of one trying to get it loose. Gave it 4 stars for that reason and since it came with a different name on the package instead of Hengs as advertised. Will wait to see how long it lasts.
