Knirps Topmatic SL 828 SteelLine Folding Umbrella Real Wood Black

It arrived very quickly and was well packaged in a strong cardboard box. My first impression was that I had bought a good quality product which compared very favourably with the collection of unsatisfactory folding umbrellas I have purchased in local stores, which failed to work properly after a very short period of time.This was soon confirmed when it opened smoothly at the touch of a button and it has proved its worth as I am able to open it with one hand before I leave my car and step out into the rain!It is a convenient weight and when folded it fits neatly into a small suitcase or backpack.It is expensive but I accept that one has to pay a higher price for top of the range products.My one criticism of the product description is that it fails to state the size of the canopy which is exactly 1 metre at the widest point.

I am very pleased with the quality of this umbrella. It was a bit expensive but worth it. Did not know what to expect with this co. As they were not known to me, but now I would not hesitate to buy from this co.again. Manufacturer Knirps who makes this umbrella certainly know how to make umbrellas.

A superb quality product. My previous one survived for 15 years and this one looks just as good. Pity their isn't a British - made alternative !

Cómo se notan las cosas buenas... Hay gente quejándose de que no tiene cierre automático, sin embargo estoy convencido de que haberlo hecho así tendrá una razón de ser, quizás durabilidad por dejar el mecanismo más sencillo. Cierra manualmente tan bien, tan fiable y con tan buen tacto que me da igual que no cierre solo. Hace un "click clack" al cerrarlo que me da como gusto :p Tiene un tamaño perfecto pero sin ser demasiado grande como para hacerse incómodo. El mango de madera tiene muy buen tacto y se aprecia que las varillas son de calidad, así como la tela (más repelente que paraguas más baratos).Es curioso. Lo normal es que un paraguas barato gotee aunque lo sacudas. Este no, lo sacudes y al ponerlo bocabajo para que se seque no gotea. Además, se seca rápido.***Edit***Ahora entiendo la razón de no incluir un cierre automático. Ya no me pasa lo de accionar por accidente el botón cuando hace viento (que por cierto, el Knirps lo resiste bien). Con el otro me pasaba lo del botón, te sientes bastante ridículo :D Además, los cierres automáticos tan útiles no son cuando tienes que empujarlos para dentro igualmente...

Der Knirps begleitet mich schon mein ganzes Leben. Nachdem vor einigen Jahren mein damals mehr als 20 Jahrer alter Knirps völlig unbrauchbar gweorden war, hatte ich mir einen neuen gekauft - mit Carbongestänge. Der war nach einmaligem Umschlagen im Wind hin. Der zweite - ebenfalls mit Carbon - löste sich von selbst auf. Außerdem fand ich die Schließautomatik nervig.Völlig desillusioniert habe ich dann doch meinen Knirps mit Stahlgestänge ohne diese nervige Schließautomatik gefunden. Das Teil macht den gleichen soliden Eindruck wie meine damaligen Uralt-Schirme. Ich habe die Version mit dem gebogenen Griff. Den kann ich auch mal einhängen, in der Tasche, am Unterarm.Jetzt habe ich mir die Version mit dem Holzgriff zugelegt. Das sieht total edel aus und fühlt sich auch so an. Ich hoffe, diese Art von Schirm wird noch lange produziert, und die Kunden wissen, was Qualität wert ist.

Possédant un parapluie de cette marque depuis 30 ans et qui fonctionne encore aujourd'hui , j'ai acheté ce nouveau modèle et je constate que la qualité est toujours là . La fiabilité et la qualité sont les points fort de cette marque , à acheter les yeux fermés !!!

Finalmente dopo aver provato parecchi ombrelli, anche di marche famose e prestigiose, (però sempre made in Cina) ho trovato un ombrello di qualità. E' robusto, ben costruito, ottimi materiali, insomma un ottimo ombrello di qualità che però si paga con un peso nettamente superiore alla media, ma io preferisco un peso maggiore con una qualità superiore, alla leggerezza senza qualità. Abito a Trieste e con la famosa "Bora" certo bisogna stare attenti, però non si è mai piegato ne tantomeno rotto come gli altri.

Man merkt ist ein Knirps. Gute Qualität wie bei diesen Produkten bekannt
