Tough to install but sturdy
I’d like to think that I’m a bit of an expert when it comes to shelve installation, after moving multiple times you get used to it. But the floating shelve using posts only can be a bit tricky. Make sure that you have the shelf level and the drill is straight when making the holes on your shelf. If you come at an angle, it’ll be impossible to install. If you’re unlucky, like myself, and had to install on concrete then make sure you have a hammer drill when putting up the posts. Lastly, distance between the holes in the shelf and the posts on the wall have to be spot on. Measure twice. Overall, these posts are great. They feel strong and I’ve had a heavy shelf installed that hasn’t moved an inch since it’s been up. Just make sure you have some experience or a friend help.

Nice quality bracket with all the hardware you need for installation
The brackets are well made and you get all the hardware you need to install them. Please note that the shelf probably needs to be about a minimum of 1" thick. Ideally you need 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 thick. You need to buy the jig and drill bit for drilling the holes. The hole you drill is 1/2" and the rod on the bracket is slightly less than 1/2". There is an optionally screw that you can use to lock the shelf in place, but it not necessary. You don't have a lot of error in position the brackets and the shelf hole, so take your time. I built a template to aid me in accurately positioning the brackets and the holes in the shelfs. The price of these brackets are comparable to other shelf bracket options you might be considering. You do have the one time expense of getting the jig and drill bit, but that too is reasonably priced. I will say I love of not seeing the shelving hardware. I have 3 shelfs vertically aligned for storing CD's and DVD's and not having any hardware means that the hardware doesn't interfere with the shelf below it.

Good hardware crappy anchors
Hardware for floating shelves is sturdy and brood for your shelves. But the anchors that come with it are pretty crappy. Had to go to Lowe’s and buy a product called ez anchors. They worked great. Recommend that if you can’t anchor on a stud in the wall buy these ez anchors good for sheet rock.

They seem good for the money
I haven't hung them on the wall yet, but they seem sturdy, and I like that the brackets were 1in wide compared to 1.25 like some of the other brands, since I recessed them into the back of the shelves which were only 1 5" thick. Nice that it includes plenty of mounting hardware as well. The seller was very communicative and helpful with issues with the first order.

More work than meets the eye
The brackets are solid and will do the job as intended but be aware that the installation instructions are nowhere close to what is needed. Being an experienced woodworker, I knew what to expect before I ordered them, but for an unsuspecting newbie the instructions are sure to create problems. First, the brackets must certainly have at least one screw mounted into a stud. You cannot depend on all drywall anchors to hold. Next, given that one screw must be in a stud, the drilled holes into the shelves have to be aligned accurately to allow a bracket mounting screw hole to line up with a stud. And don't expect to be able to drill two 6.5" deep holes straight and parallel to each other without either a drill press or quality drill guide. I used a drill guide because my drill press's depth capability does not accommodate the length of bit required plus the width of the shelf. To use the drill guide, I had to make a jig for a solid foundation for the drill guide's base. Other than that, the rods on the brackets are less than 1/2 inch. They are 31/64". I did use a 1/2" bit because the added tolerance allowed for easier assembly, and, in the end, the mounted shelf is not loose. Finally, two types of dry wall anchors are provided. The smaller, standard anchors will not hold any weight - do not use them. The screw-in type is preferred, but they proved to be a little troublesome. They seemed brittle and the Phillips slot stripped out easily. Getting the exact size bit helped. In the end, the shelves look good, and the brackets will hold the intended weight.

Super sturdy ‼️
These were for a woman’s surf shop in San Clemente. , (4) 4’ L x 12” W floating cabinet grade pre-finished birch plywood shelves. I used 3/4” plywood & glued & pin nailed “2”together making the thickness 1-1/2” then I attached these super solid brackets that after attaching to the block wall, you can do pull ups on them! Awesome and barely flex. Used 5/16 wedge anchor bolts! 4 per bracket really smart because if one bolt doesn’t grab good you still have another chance because the brackets have 2 holes on ea side. Then just drill w/ a long I think 5/16” drill bit & then I used a flat router bit to carve out the backside of the shelvewhere the bolts & bracket are so the shelves touch the wall then just used clear pine 1-1/2” door stop molding to cap the edges glued & pin nailed & just caulked w/ vinyl adhesive caulking around from shelves to the wall bingo bango...‼️Ok I’m done. 😉👍👍👍

This was far better priced than me trying to make them myself and they came out great. Just what I needed for my camera gear.
