Ottoline and the Purple Fox (4)

My 3.5 year old granddaughter loved this for bedtime reading. It has chapters, but they are short and accompanied by many wonderful drawings. This is a great transition to chapter books. I ordered another in the Ottoline series because she loved this one so much.

Brilliant as ever, my 9 year old daughter loves Ottoline and Mr Munroe. Such lovely stories and drawings. So enjoyable!

We love all the Ottoline books and hope the author continues to write more. This one is just as fun and whimsical as the previous ones. We love the illustrations and story line.

I just love Chris Riddell's books and illustrations. Great story line and you must also check out The Edge Chronicles, which are also very entertaining.

As with all the Ottoline books this one is excellent A++ to a great writer.

Die Bücher der Ottoline-Reihe gehören zu unseren absoluten Lieblingsbüchern und begleiten meine Söhne (5 und 10 J.) und mich schon seit einigen Jahren. Die Geschichten sind, wie die Zeichnungen, fantasievoll, lustig und wunderschön, und es gibt viele überall interessante Details zu entdecken. Ottoline ist vielleicht die Pippi Langstrumpf von heute. Sie geht mit offenen Augen durch die Welt und macht ihre eigenen Regeln. Zusammen mit Mr. Monroe, einem kleinen haarigen Wesen aus dem norwegischen Sumpf, lebt sie in einer modernen Metropole, wo sie manchen Rätseln und Merkwürdigkeiten auf die Spur kommt. Ihre wohlhabenden Eltern bereisen derweil die Welt und kommunizieren mit ihrer Tochter über Postkarten. Dennoch ist Ottoline (fast) nie einsam, denn sie pflegt einen besonderen Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis: Dazu gehören z.B. der Bär aus dem Keller, dem es in Kanada zu kalt war, die exzentrische Cäcilia und ihr Pony Murmel und – neuerdings – der Purple Fox, der in einer umgebauten Mülltonne wohnt und die Überreste der Wegwerfgesellschaft re- und up-cycled. Für wache Mädchen und Jungen von 5 bis 12 Jahren.

My 9 year old daughter loves this series of books and they are great stories with wonderful illustrations, great for reading together and several times as the drawings have so much in them. The character Mr Munro is fabulous.

Libro súper fácil de leer con muchas viñetas y al final, viene con unas postales y actividades deivertidas. Muy recomendable para niños de 7-8 años.
