WD Blue 1TB HDDs inside--JUNK! The enclosure and RAID HW is fine.
Disappointed that this is no longer available for <$100 with NO HDDs. The 2TB has two 1TB WD Blue HDDs in it, which are among the slowest pieces of dog poo around. Paying double+ price for junk inside is an insult. The OWC enclosure seems to be a fine, four-star, product, but sticking absolute junk HDDs inside and tripling the price is rude; plus, it makes for a lot more work since we now have to REMOVE the junk, configure the enclosure *without instructions* (because it was already configured, so you should not be going inside it!), install our own drives *without instructions*, and put it all back together. I might have gone three-stars, but after thinking about it I'm not happy. I liked the 0TB one I got before, which came with instructions and no junk inside.

Tech support
I just got this today, so i can not speak on its long term quality. However my intital feeling is that this is a good product. I like that you can either use the full capacity of the 2 harddrives (as if its 1 hard drive), or you can set it so you can use both hard drives as 2 seperate hard drives, or as im using it, use 1 drive as the main, and automaticly back everything up on the 2nd one. The 5 stars is also for their tech support, who are easy to get of (by chat)...

Get the Mobius Pro dual 3.1 gen 2.
I really wanted to like this dual drive. It is compact and well built. I ordered this and the Mobius Pro dual drive Raid enclosure. This OWC unit had USB 3.1 gen 1 and the mobius had gen 2. I had two WD Red Pro 10TB in Raid 0 in each. The OWC unit maxed out at 230MBps write/read and the Mobius was able to do 470MBps write/read. USB 3.1 gen 1 should be about to do 470MBps easily so my thoughts is there is something going on with the raid controller on the OWC that is not providing the full benefit of RAID 0 performance. So right there I dock two stars for poor performance. The other star is docked because the mechanical drives are MUCh more noticeable in the OWC. The Mobius has a solid door on the front and uses air intake at its feet to minimize noise. The Mobius is much quieter. The Mobius also was much easier to install. At the time of writing I had to pay another $50 for the Mobius but it was worth that and more for the double performance alone.
