Solid product but not a quiet ultrasonic sound -- instead it's a clearly audible frustrating beeping repeated over and over...
Short review: be warned that product emits a repeated *audible* beep which turns out to be quite frustrating & annoying very quickly.Long review:The product itself is nice -- it's a nice sturdy build, easy to setup with nice easy-to-follow instructions. I like the LED, it gives a nice touch at night. As soon as I connected the internal wire and placed them into the sun, it started emitting its sound. That's when I realized the major "flaw" in the "sonic repellent": it's quite an *audible* sound.Reading the product description, I envisioned some ultrasonic sound, inaudible to humans. But no, this thing emits a clearly audible sound, every 30 seconds or so, like a little "buzz", over and over again.I placed that in the garden and soon enough I got complains about the noise. It's clearly audible even a few yards away with an open window. If you're trying to work and concentrate, this quickly turns into noise pollution. Even myself I find it quite eerie and frustrating to walk in the garden and suddenly hear this distorted buzz.It is not a very loud noise, don't get me wrong, it's the combination of buzzing and repetition that is highly annoying. I can guess how that would annoy any gopher around. Problem is that it annoys us to. My spouse indicated it was driving her crazy, so that settled it.I didn't have time to see if the product was actually effective at keeping gophers away since I had to turn it off.

We leveled off an area of our back yard and planted new sod - sure enough, a couple of varmints arrived digging fresh holes every day. They were tearing our yard apart. I purchased two of these stakes and spaced them out across the yard - and that was it, the varmints disappeared immediately and after 3 weeks, the grass has grown back and they have not returned - believe they were either moles or gophers but gone now.

Effectiveness depends on installation being right
Difficult to install properly. One vibrating sitting on patio seems to keep voles away from there. Works much better after I pulled it out of ground lol. I think the whole post needs to be buried so top touches and vibrates ground.

I purchased 4 two work and actually do the job but two do not function. I tried to contact the company and have gotten no response on how to replace the two that don't function.

"Solar Moler Pest Control Gopher Mole Rodent Repeller"
The best thing I can say is that this item arrived before the earliest estimated delivery date. One website calls it the "Solar Moler Pest Control Gopher Mole Rodent Repeller"--which is no doubt intended to be all-encompassing but to me is just funny. The product box is labeled "Solar Rodent Repeller," and features images of chipmunks and rats. And mosquitoes. And flies. The instructions inside are labeled "Solar MOLE Repeller." Is this different from the rodent repeller? Who knows! Adding to the confusion, the instructions themselves are written in non-standard Chinese English, e.g., "when using solar mole repeller for the first time, please make sure. It is been pull the green plastic cover away and charged for 2-3 daytimes." That's verbatim. (Having lived in China two years I continue to be baffled by why so many Chinese companies fail to have a native English speaker proofread their product information!) The units are easy to assemble but are actually three, not two, components. This is significant, as I found out, since if you try to pull the unit out of the ground the tip might stay in the ground, in which case you'll have to dig it out. Each unit emits at 30-second intervals a brief sound similar to a door buzzer. It's not loud but gets annoying fast. BUT--does it work? God only knows. I haven't seen any rats since we got it, and that's worth at least one star. But for a better rating this product would need to be far cheaper, better quality, and would include clear and accurate instructions. Bottom line? If you decide to buy the Greenwon Solar Repeller make sure to keep your expectations low and have at least some sense of humor.

Quality Repellers
Higher quality than the previous brand I purchased. I haven't had them long enough to know how effective they will be in keeping the muskrats from tunneling under my seawall. So far I'm pleased.

great & night light.
I haven't seen a moe since installing, when I am outside I can hear it turn off and on. It is nice to have the built in night light.

Funciona!
Se ha espantado las tusas de mi terreno. Claro hay que instalar más que un aparato según el tamaño del terreno.
