Lima Fine Sea Salt 1 kg (Pack of 4)

This salt really does taste intensely of the sea. It is to be expected as it is genuine, unrefined, hand-harvested Atlantic sea salt. The whiteness of the salt is completely natural and not due to any commercial refining. Lima salt has at least two advantages over  Le Guerandais Coarse Sea Salt In Bag 1 Kg (Pack of 3) . Firstly the much lower water content means that you can safely store this salt in its native retail packaging or in an airtight jar without fear that the salt will develop any undesirable odour over time. This, unfortunately, cannot be said of Le Guerandais which develops a fusty smell if stored in its native packaging or in an airtight jar (you will need to dry it out beforehand). Secondly, the fineness of the salt combined with the lower moisture content makes it much more amenable to a variety of salt dispensers unlike Le Guerandais which is best suited to the salt pig. In all likelihood savvy gastronomes will want to keep both varieties of salt on hand in their kitchen.

I used to buy this years ago, but sadly another quality item disappears from the shops and we're left with the crap.Lima is organically grown and pure. Nothing else added.This creates a full flavoured condiment that beautifully enhances any food you wish to use. Now I know Amazon stock it, I am never wasting my money buying anything else.Try the coarse for cooking; but don't use it in a salt grinder as sea salt is too moist.

You cannot use it in salt grinder, but the the salt itself is really good.I am now using it in my regular cooking, replacing the supermarket salt completely.
