It has motors so all you need are the "brains" and a motor controller and of course batteries. I used a raspberry pi connected to an L289N motor controller to make it go. You could also use an Arduino instead of a raspberry pi. You need batteries, I used an Anker power bank to power the raspberry pi and a 12v DC battery AA battery pack to power the motors. Find a circuit diagram online and wire accordingly. Then you code the raspberry pi or Arduino and there you got it.

Q: How does this work, does it come already set up with the rcso i can test it out?

No, only comes with what is seen in the photo. Two motors, tracks, and the frame. You will have to order an H bridge, a battery, a micro controller and possibly a controller depending on how you wish to control it. Via Bluetooth or RF which can be done with your cellphone. Great for a project to build and program your own car but if your looking to use it out of the box this is not the product you want.

Q: How to power it? i used 4 - aa batteries in series and it is very weak. barely moves indoors and cannot move on grass. what is recommended power?

The Rated voltage is 12V and the rated current is 2000mA so you could use a 3s lipo battery. Thanks.
