I was recently contacted by a fellow SweatPink member asking me if I had heard of Nektar Naturals Honey Crystals. The bottle itself gets goopy and if it drips off the spoon then it's all sticky on the counter. Really I prefer not to be bothered with all that mess so we keep the honey put up and only bring it out if a houseguest asks for it.I try to watch how much sugar I'm eating on a regular basis. There are some situations where I've found a healthy alternative to sugar by way of taste and it's been okay, but sometimes the alternatives just taste so phony to me. I always feel like they taste like soap for some reason.So now there's Nektar Naturals to solve two issues - no mess, and no sugar, and a healthier alternative to refined or artificial sweeteners. In fact, Nektar Naturals has taken the goodness of honey and provided us with a more convenient product that we can carry around and enjoy without making a big honey mess wherever we go. The convenience of stocking these individual packets in my desk at work, in my purse or my glove box in the car is really nice and easy. Plus, the individual packets make portion control easy peasy.I've learned that no chemicals are used in the process of making these crystals. Nektar Naturals is not certified organic, and do not claim to be "organic" because of that, so if you are looking for something organic, you'll have to stick with raw honey for now.Since I'm not a big tea drinker, I asked my mother to give me her opinion on this product as she enjoyed a cup of tea this evening. My mom said she believes that if she gave someone one cup of tea with these honey crystals added and another cup of tea using regular honey, the only way the person could tell the difference is by the sticky mess that might be on the rim! She loved the way the crystals dissolved instantly when she put them in the hot water. There weren't any crystals laying around the bottom of the cup - they all dissolved.When I get back from my out of town half marathon this weekend, I may use these crystals to make the Honey Berry Smoothie listed on the Nektars Naturals website under "recipes". I travel a lot, and love my hot tea with honey but hate to carry actual honey in my carry-on and some hotels don't have it. I was ecstatic when I found this and it's now a staple in my suitcase for every trip. I personally find it sweeter than raw honey, so I use about half a packet for each cup of tea. Not an issue since I drink several cups a day and I can just fold over the packet to "close" it up until ready to use the rest. I put the packets in a sandwich sized baggie for trips just in case one breaks open. No longer have to worry about raw honey packets breaking in my liquids bag or trying to squeeze them in since my liquids bag is already pretty full with everything else I need :)Marked down one star for the price; seems pricey to me, but admit I've looked for it in several stores and no one seems to carry the individual packets like this (found a jar of powdered honey, but that just presents potential new issues in my mind, especially with TSA increasingly inspecting bags of powder going thru security). Someone mentioned I can get it cheaper at a health food store, but I haven't looked to confirm. Will probably check that option out before reordering here.

Product seems to be very good, however it is misleading. It states 100% Honey in one of the sections. It does contain cane sugar as well.I have to stay away from processed sugars, so I was looking for 100% honey crystals. My wife seems to like it. So one star off for it saying 100% all natural granular honey when its really not.

Very high quality product! I discovered this product at the Coffee & Tea Festival in NYC a few years back. It's truly revolutionary. Now you can have honey in a granulated form, packaged the same way that sugar is. It's definitely a much healthier alternative to sugar and these individual serving packets make it so easy to take with your everywhere. No more battling with the messy jar of honey at your office! The granules dissolve easily and sweeten anything just as well as sugar does.

I had been looking for granulated honey at my local grocery store and couldn't find any. Next step is always Amazon, where I found Nektar Honey Crystals. Each packet is perfect for a cup of tea. My new favorite is actually honeybush tea, which has a sweet flavor by itself, with a packet of Nektar Honey Crystals. They just enhance the natural sweetness. So easy, convenient, portable and delicious. They dissolve easily and completely in hot water. My friends also think this product is really cool.

I experienced this product at a bar in Portland, Oregon. They served popcorn with espelette (red pepper spice) and these honey crystals. It was the best popcorn I have ever eaten. These are in convenient single serving packages that can be carried in a purse.

I really love this product. I only use natural sweetners and this product really does make it easier at work. No mess and you can definately taste the honey. I just wish they were not soooo expensive. I will continue to purchase but will have to budget my usage.

I used to buy these in the grocery store, but everyone around here has quit selling them. I love them for use in my cup of tea, iced tea, or when I'm cooking. Works great on baked carrots with a little brown sugar!
