Extremely warm for Its price!
This parka does deserve better ratings In my opinion. Based off the reviews saying this parka was too small I ordered a Large and being that I'm only 5'9 this coat Is too big on me. I normally wear a Large but this coat does seen to run big. The sleeve goes past my hands. But I decided to keep It. Atleast I get to cover my hands from the cold which Is nice. My advice? Just follow the size chart that's listed at the images when you see the blue coat. Height, size, weight. The test! I wore this jacket In -10 degree weather this morning. I took a few minutes of walking to test It out and let me tell you I was nice and toasty also too warm In this parka. I could not feel the cold or the wind. This was without any layers on too. But I had bought 4 layers with me just Incase, turns out I didn't need them. This Is coming from someone who doesn't like the cold. The jacket says "Alaska Arctic expedition equipment" on the sleeve. Yes, this coat Is truth In advertising. This coat will keep you toasty. This Is the best parka for those on a budget. Easily in It's price range. I was surprised to find a Parka that cheap but yet that effective. I was almost about to spend a lot on a winter jacket, so glad I didn't or need to.Some extra things I wanted to add:* There's a fleece like material In the front pockets Incase you forget your gloves.*No balaclava Is needed being that the hood and fur Is that warm. I bought a $68 balaclava because I thought I was going to need It. It turns out I didn't need It. The only thing that feels a little cold air Is my nose. That said, I take something and wrap It around the hood so the fur remains over my face In place. In fact if you wrap anything around the hood so the fur stays In place too tight, your head and face will immediately feel very hot. So I have to wrap something lightly around the hood not too much but enough so your nose Isn't cold. I tested this, it works wonders. This does restrict your view.Other Important Info:This Is a slim fitting jacket which means that there Isn't much rooms In the sleeves. I only had 2 layers on under this jacket just to see. Shortly after my arms started to Itch. It felt tight In the sleeves. I removed the layers.I wouldn't wear this In heavy rain or snow it's not full waterproof. A light rain or snow wouldn't be a problem. Depending on how wet this coat Is It will dry fast. However If It's completely wet? It took a day to dry this jacket out. Maybe even longer. Even though It was still a little damp I still wore It I had to. It wasn't wet enough to not fully keep me warm. It did dry out fast from being outside. On a different day I needed to wear this on that same night. It was around 38°- 40° weather. I wore my coat for an hour or two during the day and It dried out perfectly. It dried out In that time frame outside after being completely soaked. As for cleaning this bulky thing? I really don't and I mean don't prefer to just throw this big jacket In a big sink or tub then It takes too to long to dry out. In the winter I can't just let It dry outside If the weather's cold. Normally I tackle one section that's dirty at a time with regular cool water and rub the water on the spots with my fingers. Or a simple spray on spot spray and scrub It with a brush.Warm √Windproof √A good price √The red jacket looks nice !

Got Me Through the 2019 Polar Vortex
I was forced to be in the Great White North on business during the worst of the 2019 polar vortex (accompanying photo taken outside White Lake, WI on 31 JAN in subzero temperatures), and I can now happily report that this parka was designed and manufactured for precisely that sort of weather. I returned home last night to sunny, warm Phoenix, but I was certainly glad I had this parka during my ordeal in the Big Chill. This is a serious piece of cold-weather gear. The extremely tight weave of the outer shell material kept the wind from penetrating either the coat or the hood, and the elastic inner sleeve cuffs (not visible from the outside) sealed perfectly around my insulated gloves, preventing the cold from sneaking inside along my arms. The sleeve patch, which includes the text "Arctic Expedition Equipment," gets two thumbs up from me for truth in advertising, because I have no doubt this parka would be perfectly suitable attire at either pole. Awesome piece of kit.The parka's materials are of high quality, and the garment's workmanship is impeccable. I relied on the sizing chart provided on the product page, so being 5'7" tall and 145 lbs, I selected a Medium. The chart is dead accurate for me and anybody else approximately my size. A Medium fit me great, with a little room to spare, even with multiple layers of clothing beneath it.Having read in earlier reviews that the left-handed zipper was an issue. I expected it to require some getting used to, so I practiced repeatedly zipping up the parka before I ever needed it. Dealing with the zipper was initially awkward, not so much due to its left-handed design, but because it has two pulls - a top pull to zip it closed and a bottom pull to zip it open a little from the bottom for extra mobility, especially while seated. Both pulls must be properly hooked onto the other side of the zipper before the garment can be zipped shut, but working it became reasonably easy after a half-dozen or so practice runs. It still isn't intuitive and probably never will be, but it isn't the deal-breaker that some have claimed it to be.I am more than pleased with this parka from a quality and performance perspective. Five stars!

Not true to size
I really liked the look, the jacket look and seemed it would be warm but size was way too small, l ordered the 3XL and the coat was about 3 inches from closing

Good jacket. Keeps you warm!
Great jacket. Excited to try it during the winter months. It is very warm. A little tight in the waist area and the zipper is a little hard to work. But in all I love it! I recommend buying at least a size larger to what you normally as I bought the size that fits me and it’s just too tight.

This is the one
6'2 145. Came down to lower thigh about 3 in above the knee. About 4in too big around the waist. But holy cow I can't tell you what searchimg I have done and this is the jacket. I coach from december to the end of the school year and this is thr jacket you want. Super durable, washes easy, lots of compliments, you cant go to the arctic and hug penguines with this but you would get on the boat feeling comfortable. I rip lots of jackets because most of the ones that look sporty and cool are not made of durable material. This is the best they have for looks good, fits good, cost is great, andkeeps you warm. It does button on the wrong siDr for a guy but I think that is cool. Plus the buttons are cool with their woven strip finger slots anyway. Just get it.

Would be ok for a tiny small man. Definitely not a xxxl!!
So disappointed! When I opened the box I thought I had accidentally bought a women’s size, or hit the wrong button. Ordered a men’s XXXL for my husband. I am a women’s large. It is slightly larger on me, but I could wear it. No way my 6’2” husband could wear this jacket, too tight, couldn’t even zipper it, falls at hips, wrists were bare because of how small this is. Christmas gift fail. For the price this should have been more accurately sized.
