Quicklynks Battery Monitor BM2​​ Bluetooth 4.0 Device Car 12V Battery Tester

A very simple and low cost way to monitor a battery use. Highly recommended.I have installed it in my campervan on the domestic battery. It gives me a plot of the voltage over the last 30 days whenever I connect my phone by bluetooth. From that it is easy to see the state of charge both when in storage over winter and in active use the rest of the year.I've used various amp counting battery monitors before on boats - but nothing as simple and cheap and easy to install as this. And sometimes simple is better.My van has a voltage gauge on the battery but this is both more accurate and gives me how the voltage has changed over the last few days. The iphone app works perfectly for this. I've had no problems with this app. It asks for permission to use bluetooth as it has to - so no what sure is meant by asking for "scary" permissions. It just does the job.

Liked ease of setup and use . Have tested over 4 discharge/charge and repair cycles comparing with a voltmeter and find the unit accurate . I'll add an inline fuse for extra safety but may not be necessary .Didn't like the app downloaded from the QR code .1. A better app has been developed 'Jmp Batt Mon II' , this has the option to save the history data via wifi .2. History data only updates if you turn off bluetooth and reconnect .3. SOC % is not correct but easy enough to consult an offline chart for correct values . This would benecessary anyway if using AGM or Lithium batteries .Worth 5 stars

Been running for months. No problem. Bluetooth can be skectchey, but thats the nature of Bluetooth

the moment I installed it and connected it to my phone it said low battery so I started the engine to charge the battery, so it saved me calling the AA, its paid for itself already

I bought a BM2 in Nov 2020 from 360XC having had it recommended. In the spring of 2021 I took the car off the road and connected a Cetek 5 charger for the summer whilst I used a different car. In Sept 2021 I started using the car again to find the BM2 was not working, it was though not until Oct that I contacted the supplier. The supplier (based in China) has been evasive up to the middle of Nov. They asked for a photograph of it not working and a video!!! They then suggested I send it back to China for repair! After I pushed them I said I wanted a refund or replacement they have again told me to send it back to China.So to sum up, rather than tell me 'tough luck' when I first contacted them they spun it out until the BM2 was over a year old.So if you buy a BM2 from 360XC dont expect any kind of support once the Amazon return window has closed.I am disappointed that Amazon has not been of any help in resolving this.

App works perfectly for me 9 metres away.

When it works it's very useful but it stops transmitting all the time, sometimes lasts a day, even 2 days and sometimes a few hours. So have to open the bonnet, disconnect and reconnect terminals all the time. Don't bother any more, back to a multimeter for me. This is the second one that does this from another copy brand.

Ideal for any time but especially these days when your vehicle may not move for days. Well worth fitting to your car/van and it updates you as regular as you want.
