Great for weak air pressure in registers if you add air pressure switch.
As many owners of two story houses with cathedral ceilings I have a problem with air pressure in my master bedroom hvac registers. Put simply - the air pressure is almost non-existing, the length of ducts is extremely long and my brand new furnace has not enough juice to push air from basement 3 stories up. Solution? A booster fan! Thoses with smart guts are expensive. So, I opted for a simple construction fan and separate pressure switch - this thing. It works perfectly. The fan is well made (although in China), relatively quite and powerful enough to push air. Wiring is easy - it comes with power cord and outlet connector, I cut the connector in half and hard wired the end to the pressure switch. The booster fan now turns on when furnace kicks on, and turns off when furnace turns off. Switch is installed into main duct, while the in-line booster fan is about 5’ down the duct, in a branch 6” duct. I was worrying that the pressure that fan creates will be enough to trip the switch but my worries were baseless. Even on maximum speed this 240cfm fan allows the switch to turn off when the furnace is off. I cannot be happier with how everything worked out. Separate speed control is great - I tuned speed to about 50%, which gives me enough air pressure with not much noise.

Perfect for my DIY project
Product was well-packed and worked out of the box.I used this to build a prototype of a ceiling-mounted area filter. The first version is just a table or floor mounted box with a HEPA filter on the intake. Remote control is essential. The fan was simple to mount, the 6-speed remote control (available separately) works perfectly. The fan is very quiet for the first three speeds and gets louder with each speed setting afterward. It pulls through the HEPA just fine for all speeds.I will be buying at least one more.

American made product.
I chose this over other fans, because it’s American made. I don’t typically care about products being American made, but for some reason I felt like I wanted this to be made in America. I think the quality of components in a device like this really matters, and many American products are better built. When I opened the box, everything looked high quality. I had a sense like this product is going to perform how I want it to. I bought this to suck the hot air out of a small movie theater room. The room is only 11’ x 11’, so all the electronics heat up the room when the door is closed. This fan works amazing. Yes, at full speed, it can be a little loud. But this thing can really move some air. It’s like a shop vacuum. The suction is great. At mid-level, the fan is really quiet, and honestly, mid-level is all most people will need. I can even feel the air move under the door from the hallway when the door is closed and the fan is running. So it provides a bonus of sucking cool air into the room. I’m very happy with this product.

Pretty quiet
His blower fan works really well. Using in my crawlspace to help draw moisture out. I barely hear it compared to my last one which sounded like the house was coming down.! If I needed to, I would buy a second one, but one seems to be strong enough and I like that it’s adjustable!

Used to create a 'silent' exhaust fan for my kitchen
The exhaust fan I had over my stove was so loud it was unusable. So I removed the fan and put this inline with the vertical duct instead. Has worked great for last 5 months. Much quieter yet provides good air draw. Only downside is that the unit does not turn on immediately. It always takes 5-10 seconds to start. It comes with 2 speed controllers: one is an analog volume control type, the other is a push button for 10 different speeds. I used the analog volume control, and I think that causes the delay on startup. But still I am very happy with the much quieter kitchen exhaust fan.

RELIABLE, POWERFULL, cannot recommend enough!!!!
I've had TWO of these in near CONSTANT service for 3 years. I waited that long because I didn't want to leave a review just to have the product perhaps fail and have to come back on here. I cannot recommend this model more, as I installed it inline in the basement duct work and it perfomed exactly as I desired. One was installed for my sons' room and one for my daughters. The way the home is designed their bedrooms protrude out the front/back of the house and builder ran ONE duct to each room. The kids rooms are freezing in the winter and roasting in the summer. These brushless fans SOLVED that problem using some other custom wiring and wireless thermostats. Without getting into that details, and focusing on this duct fan instead; I can say that they have been subjected to use EVERYTIME my home calls for either HOT or COLD via the thermostat in the living room. Not once have have either of these fans missed a beat. The amount of air that they are capable of forcing through a 6" duct is quite serious and unless you're building a wind-tunnel it will be fine. With that all said you will hear this unit running, and you will hear the wind noise of the forced air going through the duct. No one here minds that, as now the rooms are perfectly stable in temperature.
