Very Good and affordable light. packaged nicely
Nicely packaged light small, portable and no need to plug in as the dual batteries seem to have plenty of run time life. Remote also helps you not waste power while on battery and help on solo capture to make minute adjustments while looking through the lens. Definitely getting another one! The size and quality of a Videographers light is everything when it comes to portable equipment. We all struggle while using LED's because they are such a small hard source but by using a modifier you can quickly change a small 10" panel into a huge 4 foot light source that wraps nicely around your subject as demonstrated by the Crusty the Crab. Amaran LED Daylight Balanced Video Light with warming diffuser and also featured is a LimoStudio Photography Umbrella Reflector 43 inch soft white diffuser being used as a modifier. Good job Crusty!

Surprisingly perfect.... for my use.
Yes, it's cheaply made and don't think it'd stand up to use in photo productions for very long, but I'm using it as a reference balanced day light source to color correct fabrics with while retouching for clothing apparel catalogs. Using tungsten or any other light source that's not daylight balance nor cover the full spectrum will not give you accurate color to work by. I was skeptical of this unit claiming to have such a high CRI index, but after reading multiple reviews and tests which collaborated the companies claim, I've got to say I'm surprised at how bright, accurate and neutral this unit is. Have it mounted to a Magic Arm at the side of my desk. Unit is light weight, and the adjustable dimmer is perfect for matching it to screen brightness. For my purpose, it's perfect. If I were in need of using in production, I'd go with their more expensive unit (but still reasonable considering the competition) with the aluminum frame and standard plugs. Well done Aputure!!!

Failed after the first 5 minutes.
The order shipped and arrived on time. I was excited to try some test shots and before I could even get the scene ready one side started going on and off. It was actually half ( every other led) of the one side that was going off and on. I got the same results at anything brighter than 40%. The plastic case gets very hot so I'm guessing it's a heat issue. Had to send it back. Because of the extra time and effort to deal with this DOA I CANNOT recommend this for anything.

These overheat and begin to flicker
The quality of light this puts out is beautiful. Reacts with skin tones in a flattering way. That being said, the build quality is questionable. I have three and two of them begin to overheat and flicker after about an hour. I wrote Aputure and all they said was, yeah, they overheat if they are pointed downward or up at the ceiling. they also recommended I not use their diffusion filter because that causes overheating too. Sounds like a design flaw to me.

Solid LED Lights Puts Out Beautiful Light
This light is awesome. The quality of light is extremely nice... it's definitely worthy of professional use. The build quality is nice and I like that it comes in a little carrying case.

it's better than "no lights at all"
Man, LEDs - every kid who's decided to get a DSLR and become a filmmaker goes for 'em, I guess since they're the "latest tech thing". But for less than this price, you can get a lot more lumens from a quad biax flo (right here on Amazon in fact). If you absolutely cannot get power for a shoot, it's better than "no lights at all", and stick a small umbrella in the mount and you have a walk-along light your grip can handle. But it's a fairly pitiful amount of light, more like a dual biax.So why 4 stars? It's not much of a key light - it's a joke of a key light, but it KILLS for things like hair lights, picking out a detail, getting a wash on a wall. Yes, it needs some kind of grid or barndoors (I've just wrapped it in black card) and if you block the vents, the thing will die a hot death. Still, very cool for corporate interview gigs, where you need to get in and out quick - you could pack 4 of these in the space of a 3" fresnel and add some sparkle to your setups without bringing an extra bag. Pic attached: biax quad w/diffusion, Aputure on about 1/2 power as a kicker.

Its nice until it dose not work any more!
This product was great for about 4 months, Then the battery pack connectors on the back stopped working. I can only use the light when it is plugged in. I have to push and hold the batteries in place for them to work. How can I contact the seller. This is ridiculous. If I were you I would not get this light

Great solution for live streamers
Use this to light my gaming setup. Around a year of use between two panels not a single led has failed. Reliable, highly adjustable. Wonderful product.
