Protein Supplement Pro-Stat Sugar Free Wild Cherry Punch 30 Oz

I had weight loss surgery in May 2015. They say a lot of people have a hard time getting enough of their protein. I do a protein shake every morning and then do lunch and dinner normally. I find that I am still a bit short also. So I supplement with this protein. If you add it to just water it is a pleasant and light cherry flavor. I usually double the dose. Lately I have been mixing it in the morning with water and I add a crystal light packet or the Raspberry Ice or even the Strawberry, Banana, Orange. It mixes well as long as you do not put it in the fridge. It gels slightly and you get little gel floaties if you store it in the fridge. Since I love my beverages cold. I have a cup with ice in it and add the mixture all day until it is gone.I am very happy that I found this before my surgery as it also helped me while on the strictly protein shakes. I did not feel as hungry while having this drink all day. It has no sugar but beware it does have some carbs. Also, it may not be cheap but since I eat less food and save money on groceries I figure it is a good trade off. I also have gone without my Pro-Stat water for about 2 weeks and feel less energetic and even get dizzy spells probably because of the lack of protein. So this product is awesome and I absolutely love it. Also, note that you have to use it within 90 days after opening. They stress that on the label. I use it up before that point but if you don't do it everyday you may fall short of this time frame and have some waste.

I initially started taking the wound care version of Pro Stat because I was trying to heal a wound. My doctor had told me my protein levels were low and I needed to add protein as it is the building block for wound healing. I tried using other protein sources like the powders (including whey protein) but it was the Pro Stat that semed to make the biggest difference. I found out that the wound care version is not necessary to help wounds heal; any of their versions of protein help. I actually noticed a difference in how fast my wound was healing depending on whether or not I was using the Pro Stat for extra protein before going to bed. I have tried the 101 version too and prefer the 64 version only because it's less viscous than the other versions. I have also tried different flavors and none of them are really bad but I prefer the wild cherry or citrus to the natural or vanilla.Also, at one point I had a problem as the bottle I'd ordered seemed to be "bad" or spoiled. I found out it was just the flavor that had gone bad but the Pro Stat customer service was absolutely exceptionally great. They sent me a new bottle immediately & a prepaid label to send the questionable bottle to them for testing. I highly recommend this product for anybody who doesn't get enough protein in their diet or who needs extra protein for healing skin or sores/wounds.

Ordering from this particular merchant was a good experience. Although I paid for ground delivery, the order arrived practically the next day. The image depicted above is not the correct shape of the bottle that one receives, the bottle is rather curvier. This protein drink is not the best tasting since I drink it straight up. I've tried this mixed with other liquids and oh my, it was horrible and what's worse...it took ever for me to finish the drink. Therefore, less quantity to drink is better when the taste is rather an unpleasant one. I gave several of my relatives a bit to try and they could not stand the plain flavor w/o juice or milk. But I cannot imagine prolonging this unpleasant drinking experience by adding juice, etc when it is easier to just drink this by itself 1,2,3. I guess I'm braver than I thought. lol. Also, I like the fact that 15 grams of protein are in only 1 ounce of this protein drink. The recommended amount of protein per day is 40-70g, therefore it is a good thing I only take an oz of this when I have not had enough protein for the day. If you are counting cal...don't forget to include the 72 calories that are in ea oz of this protein. Overall, I recommend this protein to those who's palette is mature enough to try.

Okay this stuff doesn't taste wonderful, but as a supplement how could you expect it to? It does the job and the flavor is decent. I discovered this while working in a rehab, we administer it to wound care & post op patients to promote healing.. but I personally started purchasing it to incorperate more protein into my diet for weightlifting. It's easy to get down & high in protein. Added bonus, my hair and nails have grown SO fast since I started taking it. Do yourself a favor and stick to the wild cherry flavor. I would recommend this to anyone looking for added protein for medical reasons or for nutritional supplement.

I bought this for my father who is currently using a G tube. I randomly chose the Cherry flavor as I would be putting it in through the feeding tube I didn't think it mattered. Apparently it does. When I put it in through the feeding tube it sometimes comes back up and my dad can taste it and says the taste makes him nauseous. I did receive it in a timely fashion and it so far has seem to help with energy as my father is not tolerating a lot of food so this as a boost for the extra protein helps. I give it to him 2-3 times a day mixed with about 60 ml of water. I have mixed this with extra water to help with the harsh taste. The liquid itself is very thick and sticky so if you are putting it into a G tube I highly recommend diluting it more and flushing with warm water as it could clog the tube.

Just came home from 5 months in the hospital and/or nursing home. Had wound that would not heal. Finally found this product at one nursing home that gave it to their patients to assist nutrition when protein is so important. My wound doubled in healing from the first month I took it 2x per day than over the previous 2 months somewhere else. My wound is almost healed now. I really believe in this product. The product is thick and really sweet. Have some water nearby to chase it with. But I wanted my wound healed so bad, I would drink almost anything if it helped. It is also a little expensive, but WELL worth the cost.
