Worked remarkably well for pine trees
Our house is in a pine forest. If I didn't clean the gutters at least once a month, they were rendered useless by all the pine needles and pine cones. From the research I did, it sounded like no gutter system could cope with pine needles, and once it clogged, it was very hard to clean them. I read the reviews on the gutter brush, and I honestly didn't have high hopes. I bought enough to do the gutters that were the worst, and tested it out for a year. Wow! The whole time, the gutters kept flowing! Yes, pine needles get stuck in the gutter brush and form a layer on top of it that doesn't look very nice, but the water can still flow freely in the gutters and I no longer have issues with water damage from overflowing gutters. Instalation is super easy. Once you've cleaned the gutters, you can easily do a whole house in under 2 hours. If you need to pull them out to clean them, that's easy too. Just pull them out, shake them, and put them back in. It's not something I'd do too frequently though, because the bristles that are compressed by the gutter supports stay permanently bent after being that way for a year. All in all, these have worked great for me, and far surpassed my expectations! For reference, after my year long experiment, I ordered gutter brushes for the rest of the house. While the gutters that had the gutter brush were still flowing freely a year later, I removed 8 5-gallon buckets of pine needles and pine cones out of the gutters that did not have the gutter brush!!! Some people won't like the fact that you can see the top of the bristles and debris that gets trapped on top of them, but I don't care as long as the gutters keep working. In any case, it's still a lot easier to put a brush on an extension pole and brush the debris off while still standing on the ground if it bothers you that much. Overall, I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who is more concerned with function over looks.

Easy install. Great option for hard to reach gutters.
I tried like 5 different styles I found at garage sales last year. This did the best. Wonderful for my sketchy, death trap gutters on the 2nd story. I was able to push down the run without using a ladder.

Perfect to keep leaves and pineneedles out of gutters.
This product works great to keep leaves and pine needles out of my gutter.s I had them in my gutters from spring to fall and I only removed them once to clean them and the gutters were clean. I am going to get more for the rest of my gutters.

Good Option for Keeping Your Gutters Clean
I did a lot of research on different gutter cleaning/guard systems and came to the conclusion no system is 100% effective. I decided on GutterBrush due to the combination of cost and ease of installation/removal. I live in Upstate New York and decided to try a test run on my garage in the fall of 2012 to see how the system would work in all seasons. The garage is surrounded by a large maple (it actually hangs over my garage) and there are also a large number of maple, spruce and willow trees nearby. Installing the GutterBrush was a breeze -- took under 30 minutes to do 40 lineal feet (all straight) on two sides of the garage. The only problem I can see is if you have to cut the GutterBrush to make it fit as the metal is pretty thick; fortunately I did not have to do this but you would probably need to use a hacksaw or a real good pair of metal shears. The brushes do bend so making a corner should not be a problem. Plus you do get different size brushes so mixing and matching is possible. In terms of doing its job the GutterBrush has performed quite well through a somewhat mild winter and a very wet spring. The water flows quite easily and I have not had any issues with my gutters overflowing in any season. Yes you will get some odd leaves that get stuck in the brushes but they do eventually either fall off or decompose; I suppose it is a matter of personal preference in what you look at as I know others have complained about this. You can also see a bit of the GutterBrush sticking above the gutter but to me it does not look that bad. I also plan on removing the GutterBrush once every year or two to really clean the gutters well but this should be quite easy due to the design, something that makes this system more appealing than others on the market. Since no system is 100% that is why I gave this only 4 stars but I am quite pleased and since my test case went so well my plan is to do the rest of the house later this year with GutterBrush.

Easy installation!
The three photos I've posted are taken from the ladder used to install these GutterBrushes. I have the 5" gutter, so bought their standard size. The first 2 photos show how they fit inside the gutter and retained by slipping them under the cross bars inside the gutter. The 3rd photo shows a little bit of what was leftover, and is sitting on top of the already completed rain gutter. It gives you an idea of the size and how full the bristles are. When we measured our gutters, we "thought" we came up with 54' across the back of our house. So ... I order the 60' package. Talk about some great measuring. This leftover piece is about 10" long. BTW, we would not have "had to" cut that excess off; I could easily have folded it over and tucked it in the corner or double rowed one edge of the 3' section. If I had it to do again, that's what I would have done, and avoided cutting it at all. We haven't had any rain as yet, but I'm sure it will flow just fine off my metal roof and into the gutters without any issues. The primary purpose for buying this particular gutter guard was three-fold: #1 - I had birds building nests at the ends and at a 90 degree junction in my gutters; and #2 - I have a steel roof, and most other types of gutter guards do not easily slip under the eave of a steel roof; and lastly #3 - I was able to do it myself, saving hundreds of dollars by not having to hire professional roofers to come to install gutter guards. So ... #1 - no more birds and their messes; #2 - no damage to steel roof or gutter; #3 - YAY!! Saved money and had the whole 60' done in about 30 minutes. I recommend these gutter guards to anyone with a steel roof.
