The first battery seemed to go dead just sitting for a few days. They sent a new one which seems better but they sure do go dead faster than my original from hp. Two to 3 hr battery life, with wifi on anyway. The original lasted 6 or 7 hrs. It is making it work though, the old one was toast ?????

My laptop battery has been awful for months. It would not fully charge and would die after about an hour of use unplugged. It would also always die while it was turned off or hibernating.Now with this new battery, my laptop charges very quickly and lasts for practically the whole day. It also always seems to have a charge enough to turn on.This was a great deal. Battery came as promised and was super easy to install.

The laptop battery is working as it was in the description and the price was just right. Quality is the same as you would buy directly from HP themselves.

I purchased this knowing it may not be a complete winner, based on reviews, but my old laptop battery was so deficient if the plug got pulled out or disconnected I couldn't shut down my laptop before it died. At least with this battery (1) it fits, not as good as original but all tabs line up and it locks. (2) I think my original battery life was about 4 hours, I have a 17.3" laptop so a big power drainer, I am getting about 2 hrs of battery life which allows me to continue to work and shut things down safely when I lose power. (3) I can't rate longevity (as in useful not battery life). yet so I gave it 3 stars.
