GODOX AK-R1 Accessory Kit for Round Flash Head

At first, I confess my inexperience in using these light modifiers; this is my first purchase. Pros: 1. Quality of materials: very good quality, the fit and finish inspires you to use it! 2. Attaches to any rectangular flash (you'll have to purchase an adapter for that- I got a Godox S-R1 round head adapter; the knob on the round flash adapter ensures a very snug fit to the flash, and magnets are great!). 3. Light in weight: does not put a huge weight penalty, if and when you use it mounted on the camera. Cons: 1. The grid is relatively limited in its versatility. My primary interest was a grid, and I have used it more than the other available modifiers. There is only one grid available, I am not sure of its angle, probably 40 degrees or higher. if you want a greater restriction, it might not help. there is a snoot in the kit too (not used it), if that is acceptable to you for further narrowing. 2. Gaps in the barn door: considering a compromise between portability and effectiveness, it is a good compromise. Still... the barn door is small, limiting its use, and worse, there is light leak from the edges, that can spill some unwanted light. 3. the reflector feels a little flimsy (but I don't think you could make it better, that should be the inherent nature of such reflectors). Summary: If there is a specific modifier you want, maybe you should go for that modifier. As a jack-of-all modifiers' option, this is a pretty great, compact little kit for an overhead flash unit! (zero experience till now with color gels, so I can't give you any inputs on that)

A good set of accessories for the Godox. Results will depend on the user of course. One * less is that if doesn't have that finesse finish, and secondly, the case provided for the kit is too small. Once removing everything and after use, to refit everything back in is a bit of push and forceful. I don't mean that it's too tight, but yes, it's not a perfect fit.

I bought this product to go along with my Godox Flash V1S for Sony camera. It did the job pretty well. The attachments and diffusers fit pretty well with magnetic attachments that simply lock onto to the flash head. I am Impressed with the quality and finish of these accessories. They come in a hard shell box that is easy to carry around. Definitely recommend these for anyone having a Good round flash 👍🏼

Very good option of diffuser in much lower rate than Magmod, although Magmod has option to buy individual item, if you want, which is almost the same price of this kit. The gels m not sure if they represent the correct kelvin temp but they can be used in artistic lights jn background. The most important part that everyone wants to know, when someone is ambivalent to choose either Magmod or AK-R1, is the magnet power. This AK-R1 has sufficiently strong magnetic power to hold each item in V1 without any problem.

i searched for a lower price for this product but godox has kept the pricing constant globally. If you are someone who want's to try it out. I recommend you go for it. It's authentic and you can't get it for a cheaper price.
