Alchemy Gothic Reliquary Raven Skull White

It is exactly what it is, and what I needed. The coloring was done well, and the quality is great.

The media could not be loaded. This was the perfect size. It was way greener than I expected so I had to dry brush it with some white acrylic paint and that did the trick. It looks very realistic and I got so many compliments!

This came far sooner than expected! It was slated to arrive between Oct 15-30, and when I checked the status on the 11, it said it was still in England. But lo and behold, when I arrived from work, there it was! I am very very pleased with how quickly it came so that I have time to craft this into a headpiece for my Halloween costume. It is a little smaller than I envisioned, but the perfect size to fit over the top of my forehead for the headpiece. It looks exactly like the picture and feels very sturdy.

I was looking for a raven skull for my costume this year, and couldn't find the right thing. This item Is wonderful. Perfect size for my crown, and really just adds an interesting touch to my costume. Well made. Could be strung onto a chain or cord and worn around the neck or off your key ring. Also I wish I had ordered 2 skulls so I could make a staff with a matching skull on the top.

Keep in mind the size description of this because it's accurate to an actual raven's skull. The point being: It's not as big as you may be thinking. It's 2.25 inches long and 1.25 inches wide (at the widest point). The one I received seemed darker than depicted in photos; and the 'aged' paint job seemed a little off to me (darker with hints of blue rather than yellowish-brown). However, the detail is spot on; even with small cracks and imperfections molded into the piece (for effect). I just wish it was lighter in color; an almost bleached look. Biggest complaint: My intent was to add this to a necklace (leather thong). To do this, you would string it through the eye sockets. I used a 3mm leather corded string with metal clasp (got on Amazon). It was the metal clasp (maybe 4.5 to 5 mm) that was difficult to feed through/didn't fit. I think the eye sockets are 2.5 to 3mm and physically accurate... meaning 3mm at best. Keep that in mind if you're going to string it. So I used a hexagonal screwdriver to punch and twist and widen the eye-socket holes (or space through) so as to get the 5mm metal clasp parts (of the 4mm leather cord) through the aperture. It took about 10 minutes and some serious 'grinding', but I got it done and it works and looks great. Point: The structural integrity of this resin cast piece stood up to some serious abuse without breaking or cracking, etc. So, it's obviously built well. I hope some of the above was helpful.

For the price I was kind of expecting and dreading that this would be cheap knock-off but it is really great quality and realistic.

This looks beautiful! The skull comes without a cord or chain so you can design your own necklace. Don't worry if you're not into jewelry making. This would look great on a simple black leather cord and you should be able to find those at most craft stores or online. You can even find cords with clasps already attached or you can buy a cord and either knot it or apply your own clasp. I'm not sure how this would look with a gold or silver chain but it's your necklace so do what you like. The only thing to consider, beyond the style and length of your cord/chain, is the width of the clasp. Make sure that it will pass through the pre-drilled hole in the skull. I would definately wear this on a daily basis, it looks that awesome.
