Perfect for airplane travel, fits under the seat
This was exactly what I needed and arrived one day early. Very roomy. I didn't fill it all the way thinking it might not fit under the seat in one of the small United Express airplanes, but as the photo shows, I could have packed a lot more in it. The straps on the side are great for adjusting depending on how full the backpack is. I'm short (4'11") and have back and neck issues and wasn't sure if the backpack would be comfortable to carry, but it worked great. I packed a rather heavy camera on top of toiletries and clothes for a three-day trip. The front pockets worked well for phone charger, wallet, medication, and other items you need handy, even a water bottle. My only "complaint" about this backpack, is it doesn't have a mesh pocket on the side for the water bottle, but that's a small detail. Overall, I'm happy with it and looks sturdy enough to last.

The perfect bag if you’re flying Spirit Airlines and are a chronic over-packer
I was flying Spirit Airlines and really didn’t want to pay almost as much in bag fees as the cost of my flight. Let me emphasize that I am NOT a minimalist by nature. In fact, I’m a notorious over-packer (think huge carry on bag for a two day trip) but out of principle, I was determined to make a personal item sized bag work. After many rounds of “Baaaabe? Are you sure? I’ll pay for your bags! You’re going to be miserable.” from my boyfriend, I waited nervously for my backpack to arrive, hoping that I hadn’t cut off my nose to spite my face. Boy did this exceed my expectations! First, the zipper to open the main compartment is not centered so you have a deep inset like a suitcase to pack your clothing into. I rolled everything up pretty tightly and managed to fit 5 days worth of clothes (some for going out, some for hiking...including 3 thin sweaters because I was going to Colorado), hiking boots, sandals, and a flat iron. Wallet, headphones, keys, and small toiletries fit great in the outside pocket, which had a few zippered compartments to keep items safe. The bag didn’t feel overstuffed or heavy and fit perfectly within in Spirit’s personal item measurements. You obviously have to be mindful of how you’re folding/sorting things but this has plenty of room for a personal item compliant bag. It was also really comfortable and well padded on the straps. Highly recommend!

It's as described.
I just returned from an epic air travel trip and this was about as good as I could ask for. It should be as it's not cheap. Top handle is comfy, space inside generous, fits under seat of AA 777, 787, Embraer 175 if you dont stuff it too full. I wore it a lot and though it's not a backpacker's delight, it's fairly comfortable. I looked in a lot of stores and didn't find anything close to this for underseat carry-on.

Was Pleasantly Surprised
I needed a travel backpack for a trip to Spain. I would only travel with a carry-on and this backpack as my personal item. I was also flying British Airways and wanted to ensure my backpack would fit their strict requirements. When the backpack arrived, I thought I got the wrong size. It was smaller than what my kids use for their day-to-day school needs. It literally looked like a backpack for a small child. I was able to carry what I needed in the backpack (which filled the entire pack). It fits under the BA seat without any issue. I was surprised by how functional it was for this trip. It also ended up carrying what we needed for our day at the pool. If you are traveling with an airline that has strict personal item size requirements, this backpack is well-designed to maximize its 30L capacity.

Overall great backpack
Great backpack, though I wish we could have gotten the hybrid with wheels in the US. We used these as kids carryons (for a 5 and 7 year old). The problem was we could fit so much stuff in them that they got way too heavy for the kids! We ended up using them as luggage instead of carry ons. The zippers were super strong (we shoved a ton of stuff into them on the way home to avoid overweight fees from our main bags). The fabric was light, but thick. The clips and straps worked well to compress the contents and gave us extra peace of mind that the zippers wouldn’t bust open when being tossed around during loading/unloading of the plane. Really a great backpack for adults. I would definitely say to get the hybrid if you want to use them for kids. They are durable, and I think they will be a great carryon for our kids as they get older.

Perfect for Spirit Airlines!
This bag was perfect. First, it's the right size for Spirit's personal item restriction. Seconds it's one main compartment, which eliminates unnecessary bulk from the bag. And third it has compression straps sewn in. It's a very sturdy made bag. The only negative I can say about it is the straps aren't the most comfortable. Other than that it's perfect. I was able to pack for a week in this bag, and avoided extra fees from Spirit. Research rolling your clothes... It made all the difference. I'd recommend this bag to anyone.

Nice bag but color not as described
The bag itself was just what I needed, but I ordered it because it was listed as orange. When it arrived, it was definitely red, not orange. I ended up returning it since the color wasn’t what I wanted.
