The Frabill 1002 bridge/pier net has a heavy duty 36" diameter steel hoop with a 36" deep heavy black poly netting with 1 1/2" mesh. The net is pre-rigged with 50' of rope. Perfect for fishing from bridges or piers.

I switched it out for a better, longer
Had a chance to use it recently, was able to lift a large sea turtle that was caught (unintentionally!) while pier fishing in Florida. Some reviews feel it's too big but I saw many of the same size on the pier. The rope that comes with it is "okay" but a bit on the cheap side; I switched it out for a better, longer, thinner, softer rope. A tip is to connect a 4 ounce pyramid sinker to the bottom/middle of the net with a small snap; it' helps hold the net down and open and make it a bit easier to use.

Best pier/bridge net you can get! No problem hauling a 45lb ray up 40ft!!

This is a great and sturdy pier/bridge net
This is a great and sturdy pier/bridge net! The metal ring opening on the top of the net is larger than all of the local options which is a lot better when trying to get bigger steelhead in the net!The connection of the rope to the be is great and sturdy! I really like that it only had 3 connections from the rope to the net as that reduces the hassle of running a fish into one of those rope lines when trying to net it! Also the rope is decent rope and came plenty long enough for my uses!

This fishing net is gigantic!
36 inches doesn't sound like a lot but this thing feels like it is at least 48". I'm going to have to measure it just to be sure. It is huge. I could live with something half this size for normal pier fishing. Otherwise it is a great net.

SOOOO nice!
Really impressed with this net. I fish the California Aqueduct, often with children, and I don't want to have to go down to the waterline because of the dangers in this place. It's good to show safety and no need to go down. I picked it up after I watched someone haul in a 32 lb striped bass. Very easy to use, really sturdy, and I absolutely love not having to go down near the water! Great item to buy, especially if you're on a pier, dock, or canal where you can't get to the water easily or safely.

The only way to pier fish
We purchased prior to a recent trip to Florida. Bringing up big fish on a pier has always been an issue; not anymore. This thing hauled up a 50 pound ray, a 45 pound black drum, a three foot black tip shark, spanish mackerel, spotted sea trout, and basically anything that was too heavy or precious to risk bringing up on the line. It was awesome. I strongly suggest knotting the line every two feet so as to get a good hand grip. You'll also need gloves as the nylon rope will give you rope burn if it gets away from you. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.

Works great. Pulled a 45 lb flathead over the catwalk at the outlet channel of a reservoir. Saves a lot of work!

More than I Expected
We purchased this for pier fishing to bring medium size fish up to pier height without losing the. This product was quickly put to an extreme test. Another person down the pier caught an 80 to 90 lb Ray and couldn’t get it in their net. We brought ours down the pier and were able to fit it in and bring it up carefully to the pier to remove the hook and release it safely. It took five adults to lift it. I was worried about the capacity of the net but everything was gone. I am very pleased with this net. The last time we were on this pier someone else helped us with a large halibut. I look forward to having luck with this net in the future.
