They are excellent, very sharp cutting
I use these at work, professionally, and also at home for hobby purposes. They are excellent, very sharp cutting, they don't mash the leads like some I might mention (Sears, for example...) They last awhile. The only thing I didn't like is that the plastic handles start to slide off after awhile and are prone to splitting at the end of the handle. I've used heat shrink sleeving to repair but it doesn't make them look very good. I don't know if they are still conductive if I were to remove the handles entirely and replace with just heat shrink sleeving...but that is an option I guess. Next pair I get, I'll see if putting about an inch of heat shrink sleeving at the end prevents the damage from occurring in the first place. Using them at home, I don't use them as much so no problems with the handles. I am a certified soldering expert so I'm using tools like these every working day.

Love these flush cutters. Read and follow safety instructions.
I bought two pair recently to add to the one I have and replace another I destroyed cutting SOMETHING OTHER THAN what it is designed to cut. They are great for flush cutting copper wire. Ditto for nylon wire ties. They work so well I tend to grab them for all manner of things. I ruined one cutting 550 paracord because I squeezed excessively hard to slice the last few strands. The shattered blade struck me in the cheek which reinforces why one SHOULD ALWAYS WEAR safety glasses even for seemingly low risk tasks. To be 100% clear, the fault was entirely mine for using a great tool for a different purpose, simply because it works so darned well overall.

Made in china but comfortable for day to day.
Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Tuesday. :)Made in China. :( Old pair was USA. Old pair had for about 8 years until someone borrowed and dropped resulting in a heavily chipped cutter. New ones have a comfortable grip. They do overlap (go beyond cutting faces) when gripping/cutting. I work in the test department and abuse these fairly regularly on a daily basis.

Quality product
These are not my favorite cutters. But they did help me rewire a 96x96 video router. So I can not complain.

Updated standard for electronics work
These inexpensive but accurate cutters are a long time standard in electronics work. In the past, I've always had the blue-handled ones; these black-handled ones have conductive grips that help dissipate static. These are a specialized tool, designed to cut small gauge copper wire and tin IC pins flush to the surface of a PC board. If you try to use them for craft work with steel wire, you'll be disappointed.

Broke right in the middle of a project!
I chose this pliers based on reviews. I've had it for a little over 2 months and today it broke while cutting 16 gauge wire! The tip snapped right off!Really disappointing because now I have to run out and try to find a pair locally, which doesn't leave me many options. Bummer.

It broke as I was trimming up some loose carpet strands in the office. The blades overlapped and one snapped off. It might have been improper usage...

Used to be my favorite, but not anymore due to poor QC.
Not as good as they used to be. The last two I bought had a gap between the blades or poor spring action. Poor QC.
