Tamper or Plunger - Black

My wooden tamper had gotten warped and was hard to push all the way down the chute. While I would rather have had a brown colors coordinate better with my offwhite juicer, practically speaking it works well.

This was an item I had looked for for some time. Our juicer is 35 years old and still a beast. We had replaced the loading slot piece and found that our tamper no longer fit (too big). Solid and dependable item.

Fits perfectly!

The tamper works alright. It could be SLIGHTLY larger, as I have lots of pulp come up around the tamper - so it takes longer to juice, but it seems to be the right length. It is VERY lightweight, certainly a big change from the solid wood tamper I grew up using... I was nervous that it might crack with heavy use, but seems to be holding up just fine.

Expensive for what it is but fits the ancient Champion Juicer I found buried in the back cupboard of a rental house I live in. Now I don't have to use carrots as tampers anymore!

When I bought it originally, it showed a metal plunger and it said “metal plunger”, but instead I received a cheap black hollow plastic version. Now I see that since I ordered the description has been changed to black, but it still shows a metal plunger.

I wish these parts weren’t so expensive 😩 but it fits my champion juicer just like the original.

IT FITS my very old Champion with Model No. that is way before the number this says it fits. I was worried but it Fully fills up the entire chute so no pulp pushes up. I liked the old wooden ones better as they didn't hit the blades, but its not the 70s anymore :(
