Great Choice
I purchased this lock about six months ago to secure my cockpit hatch on our boat. I must say, after six months in the outdoors, exposed to fresh water and salt water, it is functioning, and is a smooth as the day I bought. Great, secure lock, I highly recommend this product!

as expected
Easy to set and reset code, works as expected. Using to lock medicine cabinet so kids can't get in. Opening and closing it daily for over a month and it still works fine.

Nice easy to carry LIGHT U-lock for a bike for minimum security 'run into the store' situations
Nice easy to carry LIGHT U-lock for a bike for minimum security 'run into the store' situations.BIG NOTE: This lock is too short/skinny to lock it to anything. I use it simply to immobilize the rear wheel by running it through rear wheel at frame. Think of it as a disk lock but for your wheel/frame. Now if you have a wire leash or a small chain you can loop THAT around something but the lock BY ITSELF will not make ir around a stop sign post etc. I carry this under my seat and lashed TO the seat with a seat 'whip/leash' sort of thing so people can not just pull the quick release and walk off with the seat. It only weighs a few ounces and it's handy to always have a minimum lock lock you.I have a couple of big heavy U locks and hate to carry them on rides where I do not have plans to stop anywhere. Then you regret not having a lock when you change your mind. I carry this in my toolkit water bottle or bag and it's just enough for me to feel OK to run into a store for 2 minutes. It's long enough and wide enough to lock a rear wheel to a frame or seatpost rack. Then I use a seatpost leash type thing to secure it to a standing object. It's not going to stop someone who has wire cutters and a truck idling nearby but nobody is going to just walk up, swing a leg over and pedal off, either and thats all it's meant for. I would not use this anywhere more than once where it can get scoped out. To reset this, all you need is a thin (eyeglass type) flat head screwdriver and they put on the exterior instead where you would have to at least know the code to pull the shackle off to get at it. In other words, anyone that is even remotely familiar with these locks can roll up, flip the switch to RESET , pop the lock open and it's asta la bye bye. If you lock up at the same place every day for a week and leave it there for a couple hours, you better have a backup bike for the ride home. In a nice neighborhood where you just want to keep otherwise honest people honest, it's fine.

The small notched button is entirely too stubborn to turn easily.
The lovely seemingly convenient tool that might otherwise help in turning the button from lock to "reset" to reset the combination, is very difficult to turn. If you wish to reset this lock make sure you have a sturdy, small flathead screwdriver. The included key will bend under the resistance of the mechanism. Otherwise, it's alright

Sturdy, versatile lock!
Great, sturdy combo lock for securing things less-long locks will fail at. In my case, a Coleman ESKY 55 qt cooler, Coleman's answer to the Yeti cooler. Our cooler came with a hole on each side that goes through lid and body, and with at least a 5" shackle, you can secure this ice chest to your truck with a sturdy cable. This lock actually was longer than what I needed; and I had to trim the black vinyl off one side for it to fit through the Esky ice chest security hole. But now it does, and numbers face up, so it's very easy to dial in access # and be on your way.

Love the ability to change combination.
This lock the Bosvision 2.75" width 5-digit Resettable Combination U Lock Padlock with 7.8" Long Shackle works perfectly for what we wanted it for, that is to keep our garage fridge / freezer locked. By inserting the "u" of the lock across the two fridge and freezer door handles. We keep our beer and other "treasured" items from people we do not want to share our beer with; we really like and enjoy our beer!Love the feature allowing us to change the combination. Reason being is on the rare occasion we drink just a wee bit to much and forget to lock the beer safe (okay the fridge) up we are able to change the combination in event the lock code was found out due to it being left unlocked.Honestly - it is an excellent lock!

It worked great until it broke about a week later
It broke a week after we started using it.

Good lock
This works well to lock the “beer fridge” to keep the kids out. We had a keyed lock but left the key out once by mistake. This lock eliminates that user error.
