A classic movie on blu ray

"Hard To Kill" is one of Steven Seagal's best action movies. It was made when he was still a clean-cut action hero who looked eerily like the original comic book's Captain Marvel of shazam fame. His co-star in this movie is his ex-wife model Kelly LeBrock. (She's reason enough to watch this movie).Waking from a 7-year coma, police detective Mason Storm (Seagal) embarks on a mission to avenge his murdered wife. In the process, he tracks down and beats up a corrupt senator; and he single-handedly dismembers the members of an entire department of crooked cops. The poolroom scene is a classic...After delivering a jagged pool cue into the throat of his wife's killer, followed by a fatal kick to the head, Seagal delivers the immortal line, "F*** you and die!" Partly because of that line, I suspect this movie will continue to gain in cult status; and mainly because the movie’s satisfaction of revenge works as a powerful sublimation for anyone harboring some unresolved hostility...which probably includes myself and the majority of mankind.Masterfully directed by Bruce Malmuth, and brilliantly edited by John Link, the movie's weirdlypenetrating sound track by David Michael Frank sends eerie chills right up the viewer's spine!!! No matter how many times I've watched this thriller, it pulls me into its excitement as if for the first time. Nicely

I initially thought this movie was going to be another cheesy early 90s action flick but I was surprised. This dude is a damn mortal combat character. He takes 3 shotgun shells and is still slapping the bad guys around. Then he takes a nap to heal from his wounds. and I think he kicks half of the bad guys through every window in this gd movie. Plus he only has like a page of script in the whole movie.

Always love to venture off into the world of old school movies as even though all movies created in the world has their own agendas spliced in, at least in the old school movies like hard to kill there is 0% wokeness in it and I am able to watch many times and relax.
