L'Oreal Paris Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer, 0.5 FL (oz)

This is probably the eighth time buying this primer and it's amazing!! I always always read the reviews on how good or bad a product is and then I buy it if it sounds promising, but let's face it one product may work wonders for someone and totally fail for someone else. However, this primer is honestly amazing for me! I'm in my mid 40's with combo skin, bigger pores and not to mention aging skin. Yes, I need all the help I can get. Now the product is a thicker primer, but not too thick and easy to apply. I do find it best after applying primer if I wait 5 to 10 before I apply my foundation. I work in a hotter environment and yes I sweat, but my foundation is still on at the end of the day! Sure by the end of the day my foundation and blush isn't as radiant as when I first put it on, but my foundation fades nicely ( if that makes any sense) and looks nice. With other primers I've used I look and feel so greasy I want to rush into the bathroom and wash my face cause my foundation looks so horrible, but not with this primer my makeup still looks nice! The only downside is the size. I do wear makeup every day so usually I can make this primer last 2 months. I hope this review was helpful.

I love this primer, it’s very smoothing and blurring. Doesn’t make my face oily and it only takes a tiny amount. It really just makes my face feel good and smooth. Foundation applies so easily over it and my makeup lasts all day long! I like that it’s fragrance free, also. A little goes a long way and this little glass jar will last a very long time! I will continue to reorder as long as it’s being sold!

I have purchased this product several times now. I think it does a pretty good job. It does help to fill in some of the lines and wrinkles on my face. I put it on before foundation and let it settle in there well. It stays on throughout the day. It seems a little heavy at first but then isn’t really noticeable to me as it settles in. Does it make me look 25 again? Oh absolutely not. In all fairness, that is a big ask since it seems the wrinkles are quickly becoming my most noticeable feature! Although I rarely hear, “what lovely eyes you have”, these days at least when I use this product I don’t hear, “what lovely wrinkles you have”! 🤣🤣

I gave it three stars because I am not pleased that its so tiny and the fact that its like a creamy powder. I'm frugal and like to see my dollars go far, but I splurged this one time. The product is soft and doesn't leave an oily residue but it does look like you put wet powder on your face. It has a light fragrance. The most expensive primer I have is that by DHC, the velvet skin coat primer in the little tube. It reminds me of that but this is thicker and doesn't dry fast. I'm not sure I would buy it again just because its not alot of product for the price and its a bit thick. I love a smooth makeup finish and people rave about this so its one of those things that I decided to give a try. It dries nicely after several minutes. I'd say buy it if you don't mind the size and price, but don't put make up on right behind it or it will look really powdery.

1st of all i am not at all new to using primer i am a pt working makeup artist i just f makeup on the side for extra income and have been so for 7 years now i did however hv a massive stroke 2 years ag. Oyehich aged my skin by a good 20 years ouch so i did have to change my own mackeup routine a bit as now i hv wrinkles and loose skin in the eye area so i decided to try diffrent primers and foundations before i used the clear mineral primer by elf which is super cheap and that works AMAZING kept my makeup looking fresh and perfect FOR DAYS yes ladies i said days i am such a perfectionest w my makeup i would sit at my vanity sometimes for 2 hours to do a full face cuz i wouldnt be done till EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT N IF I MESSED SOMETHING UP I WLD WIPE IT ALL OFF N START OVERwow now to get to the review i told u all this cuz i know times people read reviews spacificlly bad reviews n think they just didnt use it rite let me assure u i know very well how to apply primer and this primer was no good did nothing for wrinkles and had no staying power it didnt keep my foundation looking good even for 3 hours let alone the entire day! After only a couple hours my foundation contour n everything was faded so badly i had to totally reapply using my elf primer which i can apply n wear it all day and sleep in my makeup and i hv worn it again the entire next day and it still looks fresh like i had just done it i recomend the elf primers over even some highend primers they hv a whole line of primers from the clear mineral which keeps my very oily skin matte for days whithout drying me out to moisurizing one for dry skin and one for minumizing pores i hv tried all and they are all wonderful my favorite is the minuralize one cuz it keeps me matte but i hv dry skin n wrinkles under my eyes so i use the moisurizing one under my eyes and they clear minuralize one on the rest my face i do not recomend this loreal primer however there are lots of loreal products that i do love and use everyday on both myself and my clients like the loreal infallible foundations and lipstick n cream eyeliners

great product! leaves skin feeling smooth. is not oily. good filler. works as described. works better than many pricier products. The L'Oreal replacement sold in Ulta is oily and makes face look shiney.
