Quick and easy, worth the cost!
Worked as I hoped it would. Didn't think banding could be so quick and easy! I was concerned about the cost, then considered what it would be to have the vet out every year to band a couple bucklings.

Dehorned over year old heifer with ease!
A bit of a learning curve, but worked perfectly for dehorning our 19 month heifer with full grown horns. The horns came off around 60 days like it said it would with little blood and very little discomfort for the cow. She’s healing over very well. Definitely better than having to saw off the horns and traumatize our already skittish cow.

An improvement over the old style.
This style is much more user friendly and is faster to use. The hair on the calf's legs doesn't get caught in the ratchet as easily as the old style. The built in cutter is the best! No more fumbling around for the tag cutter. There is only one flaw. If the calf jumps too much there is a chance the cutter bar can get hit, causing it to cut the band too early. We like to band our calves in the fall when the steers are about 600 lbs.
