The base model does not have wireless capability. This printer is designed for a wired network printer and has a Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/100T network port. If you want wireless capability you'll have to purchase a wireless printer server like the HP JetDirect ew2500 Wireless Print Server. I love this printer, cost per page is low and speed is great. Using it in a small office with seven networked computers.

Q: Can you print pictures on this machine?

Yes, you can print pictures. I have been advertising with this printer with high grade Laser paper and colors are good. I have not however printed on Laser Photo paper yet-should be even better. If you are trying to match high end inkjet color saturation, you are not going to get there. Keep in mind that Laser colors do not run when they get wet or moisture on them and costs less than inkjet printing. It would probably be cheaper to send your digital photos to an online service for printing. Inkjet printing is expensive.

Q: Using Mac OS. If I connect the printer's ethernet wire into my router, can I print "wirelessly" through my Mac?

Probably too late, but the answer is yes. When you connect it to your router, the printer will obtain (and display on the readout) its own IP address. When you go to install the printer on your Mac, search for it by "IP Address," type it in and your golden.
