Q: Can I run four zones on one day, let say 30 minute each, and run only two zones the next day, let say for 10 minutes and then the next day all four?

Yes by setting up two different programs you can run 4 zones on any of the days you want and two on any days you want.

Q: How do you add a 5th zone? program a will do 4 zones, but when i flip to program b it only shows 1-4, when i manual run it "sees" all 5 zones

We think you are looking at the start times not the zones. You can group the zones into programs and use multiple start times for each program.

Q: Which wireless rain sensor does this connect to?

You will need to purchase the LNK2 WiFi Module for Rain Bird ESP-TM2 and ESP-Me Series Controllers. Rain Bird SKU #F55005. It will just plug into the existing Controller. If the WiFi is not strong enough where you have the controller mounted you can get a WiFi extender by anyone to plug into a outlet close by. :-)
