Excellent Upgrade - Replacement converter charger!
I ordered a Amazon used like new and received the unit quickly. While inspecting the unit I noticed it had a little bend on the right mounting tab and case however no damage to the internals. I straightened the tab and was happy with the outcome saving 90+ dollars. I needed a LiFePO4 compatible charger converter conversion on my 2003 Skyline Layton camper. The install was straightforward and simple to follow the included instructions. I was able to swap everything over in a few hours and had the system powered up and tested. The converter output on the DC side was measured at 14.6v perfect for the new LiFePO4 batteries, all the lights and appliances work perfectly and no buzzing noise from the new converter. This unit was a perfect upgrade for my 21 year old buzz box Parallax 6300 series converter charger.

Excellent upgrade!
I ordered this unit to replace a dying parallax converter, and the difference is night and day. Even with how the parallax was before it died, this unit is miles ahead. My batteries charge faster and deeper, and no more buzzing, humming, and flickering when I really load the 12 volt system. Absolutely worth every penny and it was a perfect fit, easy install. I also can now update from the old lead acids and run lithium batteries which I am very excited for.

Easy as pie!
Every two years I have to buy new batteries for my RV. We leave it plugged in all summer because the fridge stays packed. The batteries just go to pot with the old Magnetek 6332 converter/charge system. I decided no more of that.I was delighted to find the newer replacement converter/charger with the batteryminder built right in requiring no additional parts and still using the original housing and breaker panel. The retrofit went very well. The mounting tabs on the new unit were very slightly dinged but it was easy to bend back to position. The wiring is easy and straightforward. The unit is noiseless when on, no hum at all, very nice. On the fuse board are LED lights to tell you quickly which 12 V fuse is bad. There is a button on the fuse board to manually change settings, mostly for checking out the system. Once the batteries are charged it goes into "storage mode". Every 21 hours the charger kicks in high for a few minutes to prevent sulfidation. IF both of my batteries are new I should be able to go 5-7 days on 12 volt power with no problem. The old system would ruin batteries, after 2 seasons you would be lucky to go 2 days.It well may be 2-3 years till I know how well this charger takes care of batteries, but it's got to be better than the old style analog electromagnetic design! I am optimistic! I will update this review down the road.UPDATE: October, 2018.It's been 2 1/2 years or three summers use since I installed the new converter. I'm still on the same batteries and they still hold a good charge. We like to "boondock" camp, mostly because we can in Alaska. With lights and heater running, I haven't had a dead battery yet. I feel like I could now invest in a good pair of 6 volt batteries and not worry about the expense of frying them!Well done.Update May, 2020; I still have the same batteries installed, they are now five years old and still hold a good charge. The battery life alone pays for this charger.

Wow. what a massive improvement over my old Magnatek 6332!!!!
This thing works EXACTLY as advertised and was an easy install. It charges my batteries far, far faster than the archaic piece of junk that it replaced. I also no longer have to worry about keeping my RV plugged in all of the time and cooking my batteries, AND (and this is a big plus) it produces a very clean DC output, critical if you want to use several types of DC on-board devices, like a TV for instance. If you want to really use it to it's full potential in any RV or boat with a house/start battery setup and fully modernize your system if it is using an isolator to separate the two, replace it with a Blue Sea SI-ARC (automatic charging relay) to boot. It costs almost exactly the same as the isolator if yours failed, (about $75) even easier to install than the converter/charger, eliminates the .5V-.7V drop in voltage from your alternator to the house batteries, and even more importantly in my opinion allows your charger to also charge the start battery. Both of these modifications, especially when done together, are a win-win for sure!

RV converter upgrade
Had the old model 6332 and upgraded to this to try to keep the wiring simple yet also be able to charge a Lifepo4 battery, so the only problem I've ran into so far is the unit when set to lithium (by way of jumper on circuit board) is that it only charges at 14.3 volts to truly fully charge a lithium battery it needs to be 14.7 volts, this will make your battery not last as long luckily I'm also using a battery to battery charger and a solar charger so I am not solely counting on this as a way of charging my battery
