Great machine!
I am super impressed with this machine! I ordered it because it’s the only cheaper option that rivals the Addi with its 48 pins, all the other similar options only have 40.It was super easy to set up, however it did not come with an anti slip mat. I actually just super glued the suction cup bottoms to an old end table to stabilize it. Which is key so you don’t drop stitches! I recommend using a lighter 4 yarn like Carin Simply Soft.

Better than Addi machine
Purchased this one when the addi's handle broke...I wish I would have bought this one 1st. Still have to use a 4 or less weight yarn, but this one drops very few stitches, makes less noise, and knits tighter. Only gave it a 4 because the counter on it is usless. They give you garbage yarn to learn with so buy some if you want to make something. If I could, I'd trade the Addi for a few more of these.

It is WORTH IT to buy this cheaper knitting machine!!!!!!
The reason I decided to review this machine was because I was skeptical whether or not it was worth it for me to invest long term in a $200 addi king machine if I didn't even know if I really liked machine knitting. I purchased a $15 singer knitting machine, played around a little with it, and then decided it would be of better use to me to have a larger size. So I began my research marathon, looking for cheaper versions of a large knitting machine. Some of the machines I looked at were the prym maxi, innovations, and of course, the Sentro. The Sentro overall just looked like it had better reviews. I had watched a few reviews on youtube and it had seemed like it would be a gamble for me whether or not any of these machines I was looking at would work or not! So I used my gut and decided I would order the Sentro, as it was one of the best reviewed machines and seemed like the lesser priced. I ordered it and it look about a day and a half to come with Amazon Prime shipping. Like a lot of the reviews said, the box did come a little banged up, but not too bad. I opened the box and nothing was damaged(yay! ). It came with the instructions, 4 balls of yarn, needles and crochet hook, the machine, tensioner, the legs, a screwdriver, screws and suction cups. The instructions were easy enough to follow, if you ever get confused about assembly, you can watch some of the videos on youtube as they demonstrate themselves assembling it. The 4 balls of yarn were just fine, they were on the cheaper side material wise, but I ordered the Sentro for the machine, not the yarn. Please note that the yarn they send you isn't nearly enough for much of any project. The needles and crochet hook are made of pretty durable plastic and can be fulfilled enough for their use. The machine and it's components, were five star material. Even though I am an amateur when it comes to machine knitting, I was able to easily operate and assemble the machine entirely! A lot of people said they had trouble operating and putting the machine together, but I had no trouble at all!!!!!!! There was no grinding of plastic, no wobbliness thanks to those very helpful suction cups, and it produced great stitches, even for my fist time using a large machine to make a substantial project. The crank was nice and comfortable, and the counter worked just fine. In total I would rate this machine 5 stars!!!

Great little knitting machine
I have been machine knitting for over 10 years, I have mutliple flatbed machines and a few circular machines. To me, this one is compatible with the more expensive brand name from Germany. Yes, you may drop stitches, but most likely that is user error and not the machine. Since these machines are made from molded plastic there may be some rough parts. Take the time to check each needle for nicks and things that may catch your yarn, just smooth it out with an Emory board and rub some paraffin wax ( or candle wax) over all the needles to make them very smooth. That way you shouldn't have any issues. The row counter is a wonderful feature.

Amazing machine
I Iove this knitting machine! It works amazing and it’s much less than the Addi knitting machine. I watched YouTube videos on the addi because it works the same. I also like how it’s a little bigger than the addi. Very happy with it!

Quick and easy
Made 17 hats so far with this. Easy to thread but your arm will get tired of turning the knob at some point.

Easier to hand knit.
I ordered this item and tried their yarn, my yarn, big yarn, small yarn and it didn't work. Had it replaced. SAME THING. Followed instructions verbatim. Both times didn't work at all, just made something that looked like a cat got caught in a yarn drawer.Learn how to hand knit. Seriously easier and far more accurate.

Amazing Sentro knitting loom
I am, like others, amazed with this loom. Yarn weight IS vital because this will not take typical 4-ply or heavy yarn. I also use this standing up at an adjustable height table that permits me to turn the table's small circular top (when I'm binding on and off) AND I hold onto one leg of the to keep it stable while knitting. I've been using it almost non-stop now mostly making collars and sleeves and I am SO very happy with it!
