Excellent Investment.Easy to use.Intuitive, simple to understand.That's important.Mine is quickly paying for itself in terms of eliminating guesswork and mistrust of the old set of scales that I was using.This scale is saving me money every time I use it.And it's saving me from worrying that I might not be getting accurate readings.That's another important benefit.I might live longer if I don't have to worry so much.I really like this new 35LB postal/shipping scale.I should have bought one like this ten years ago.This thing is so easy to use.I also bought a set of three calibration weights.Small medium and large.Weighed them on this 35LB scale.Individually and in various combinations.This scale was right on the money from the factory, as received.It can be easily calibrated if necessary, but my unit is accurate just as I received it.This thing is downright easy to use.It's a pleasure to use.C L SmithWestern MarylandUpdate -23 October 2011Four months after I bought this scale and put it into service.Excellent machine.Still weighs perfectly my three test weights (small, medium and large) and any combination of them.I sell on eBay and I ship a lot of product.This unit was worth every nickel I ever paid for it, to say the least.Dead-on accurate.Never had to be re-calibrated.Just as accurate today as it was the day I unpacked it and tested it the first time, the first day.Simple and intuitive to use.A money-maker, a money-saver this set of scales is.I like it folks.I see cheap little under-sized 30-40LB scales on eBay for what - $12?I just shake my head.No regrets whatsoever about buying this unit that I'm typing to you about.Good machine.Excellent investment, any way you want to look at it.Charles SmithUpdate -31 January 2012Eight months of everyday use.Since 04 June 2011.Cat's whisker, folks.Simple and easy-to-use little piece of equipment.Easy to understand.Perfectly accurate.I had invested in a 3-piece set of calibration weights here at Amazon when I bought this new set of scales last year.50g, 100g, and 500g calibration weights.This set of scales has been dead-on accurate since the day I received my new scales and my new calibration weights.Since I first put these shipping scales into service.Since day one.It's now 8 months on and I checked these scales again maybe 2 or 3 days ago.Perfect.As always.Right down to the gram.I do keep my scales and my weights pretty clean.I might not do everything in my life right, but at least I do that much right.I'm an eBay seller/shipper.This little set of shipping scales is so accurate and durable and easy to use ...Five (5) stars on this item?You betcha.C L SmithWestern Maryland==============================UPDATE 18 AUG 2013==============================I just now re-read all that I have typed to you about this set of scales.My original review - 18 Jun 2011 - 2 weeks of using this unit.Update #1 - 23 Oct 2011 - used it for 4 months.Update #2 - 31 Jan 2012 - used it for 7 or 8 months.I see no mistakes or misinformation in anything that I have typed to you so far.Now today 18 Aug 2013 - used this unit for 2 yrs & 2 months.Still hasn't needed re-calibrated.Still reads a 500g calibration weight as 500.0 grams.A 50g weight reads 50.0 grams.Any combination of weights I put on the platform comes out exactly to what the weights say they are.I have at least 1/2 dozen different sizes of calibration weights folks.Digital scales that I have -100g 200g 600g 1000g this 35LB one & a 150LB one.And my entire collection of digital scales agree with this unit that I'm here reviewing for you.2 years of steady use, everyday use from ounces up to 25LB boxes and she still is as dead-on accurate as she was the day I first put her into service over 2 yrs ago.I'm an eBay seller, an eBay shipper.This set of scales is my main unit.It gets not very much rest from one day to the next.I certainly never expected this level of service from such a modestly-priced shipping scale.I mean right down to fractions of an ounce on the low end of it.Incredible.What more can I say?Charles SmithWestern Maryland==============================

I bought this scale almost 12 years ago. I have used it to weigh literally thousands of records packed up to ship out for my small, underground record label. It is still working great and giving a very accurate weight for each item. It might cost a little more than other on here, but the durability is ridiculous. It will get the job done well and last a lifetime

I just received and tested this scale - it's perfectly accurate and very easy to use. I tested it by taking 5 items of different weights to 2 different post offices and weighed the items on their floor-standing postal scales in their lobby - the ones that customers use to buy postage for letters and packages. Each USPS scale at each post office showed the exact, same weight for each item, even down to the tenths of an ounce.This convinced me that the item weights were accurate, so, I wrote down the exact weights, which ranged from 4 oz. to 5 lbs., then weighed the same items on my new Tree SPS-35. The Tree scale matched EXACTLY, ALL 5 weights of the items, also down to the tenths of an ounce. This Tree scale required no prior calibration to get these exact weight matches - it was dead accurate right out of the box. I also tested the scale using both electricity and battery power and got the same, exact results.I couldn't be more happier with it. BTW, before buying it, I did have one question about calibration, so I wrote to the contact person on the LW Measurements website and got a response within 24 hours. My question was: "What is the MINIMUM amount of weight needed to accurately calibrate the scale, if I should ever need to?" The answer was: Any object(s) OVER 10 lbs. I think one of the demonstrations at the company's website uses 11 lbs. of weight.Anyone considering this scale should go to the LW Measurements website (Amazon won't let me post the link), and you can see a PDF file of the Users Manual (and) 4 video demonstrations on how to use different features of the scale.Now, the real question is: "How LONG will this scale last with perfect accuracy ?"Well, it supposedly has a 2-yr. warranty, but I'll try to remember to come back here and post how it's holding up 1 year from now.......or earlier if it crashes.

I've been using this scale in the barn to weigh hay. It works well, and seems to be very consistent. I have not used it to mail anything. I keep it wrapped in plastic when not in use to prevent all the dust, dirt and other barn crud from gumming up the works.The only thing that I would change is the location/angle of the display. If you are weighing something large, you can't see the display with the object on the platform. For postal weighing, this would not be a problem (just wait for the "hold" and remove the box) but for weighing out a quantity of something it is inconvenient.Over all, I am very pleased with this product.

Delivery time was fair taking the current situation into consideration. It arrived as described and works well with plug in. I haven’t use it with batteries but feel it shouldn’t be a problem. Save me a few dollars to weigh my own parcel. Great investment on my part so far :)
