This is an amazing coffee machine and definitely worth the purchase. Great for anyone!!
I have had this machine for about a week now and have tried all of the settings. I am amending my original review, because I'm much more impressed with it now, since I have had time to use all of the settings. I am a decaf drinker and set my brews on the “rich” (versus "classic") setting and it makes a very good cup of coffee. I bought the Ninja CF091 for my husband and me, and we use the the "multi-serve" setting with the coffee pot, and it makes enough for the two of us. The machine has a lot of different serving size options: cup/ XL cup; travel mug/XL multi-serve; half carafe or full carafe, so you just have to try the different settings to judge what works best for you. If we use the 1/2 carafe setting, it gives us ample coffee for two and some leftover that I use it for a cold latte later in the day. There is a swing out platform for the individual coffee/mug settings, which is fun for making a quick cup of coffee. I love the frother whisk that is attached on the side and it's great for making a cappuccino. I use 0% milk and it froths up super. The frother can be removed for very easy cleaning. The filter basket is included, so no need to buy filters. I tried the Ninja filter basket, but even after dumping the grounds, the mesh is so fine that when it is rinsed, the remaining grounds go down my sink, which I don’t like because I have septic, so I use filters. Not really a negative, just a preference. I also like that the dual scoop is attached to the machine, because it makes measuring quick and easy, especially because the scooper indicates how much coffee is needed for each particular setting. Be sure to read the directions and perform two cycles with water before brewing your first pot. Some people posted that running the two water cycles took a long time, but it is not a big deal, and helps you get familiar with the machine. I would love if the manufacturer included a travel mug (to be used on the swing out ledge) with the purchase of this machine. Overall a very cool coffeemaker, easy to use, with lots of options for various coffee sizes. I would definitely recommend purchasing.

Refurbished Ninja Coffee Maker
A friend recommended this product. I tried to save $100 and purchased a refurbished unit. It was supposed to be factory cleaned and repackaged. Pretty sure the resller didnt do either. Opened the box and it was filthy. The craft was supposed to be stainless steel. It was glass and had hard water scaling. The reseller offered to replace it after i sent them a complaint. I guess i got what i paid for. A little work and cleaning and it works fine. I will never buy anything from this reseller again.

Straight from the box brand new it never worked
For the amount of money I spent on this coffee maker it is an absolute joke!! The first one I purchased would constantly stop filtering the water indicating it needed to be cleaned? Despite the numerous attempts I would use the The distilled white vinegar that would only last maybe five days and it would be beeping again. I gave up and threw it out but a friend of mine bought me a second one that I stored in the closet on opened for up to two years. I finally took it out of the box and took all the wrapping off started off by cleaning it first regardless right from the box brand new it stops heating the water and does nothing but deep indicating it needs to be cleaned??? Are you kidding from day one it stops heating the water shut off and beeps. Spent over $200 on these coffee makers from ninja I will never buy another ninja product again absolute garbage and so is their customer service!!!

It's great when it works.
First off, It makes great coffee. Mine did anyways. If you are going to use the reusable coffee filter, of course there will be some sediment in your coffee, especially if the coffee is a finer grind. I just use a paper filter and don't have any sediment at all. When the coffee maker gets over a year or 2 old it will become difficult to clean. Forget about using the useless clean cycle. I put a half pot of white vinegar in and start a brew cycle, just until i smell the vinegar coming out, then I shut the machine off for a couple hrs and let the vinegar do it's stuff inside the machine.. I do this every few hours until the cleaning light goes out. I use a paper filter when doing this so I can reuse the same vinegar until the machine is working again. You wouldn't believe how much mineral scale is in the filter when done. When done with the vinegar, I unplug the machine and let it cool before gently shaking the machine to loosen remaining scale, and then invert the machine, dumping the remaining liquid into the sink. The I run 1 pot of clean water through it. I do this about once every month or 2.It took me awhile to realize that the main cause of the mineral scale inside the machine, is failure to turn off the machine when I'm done with my coffee. Evaporation causes the scale buildup.

Don’t purchase Ninja expensive machine short life.
Do not buy a Ninja 249.00 cold brew ice coffee factory. It broke in 18 months. Ninja did nothing said to bad and ask me to spend another 249 to get a 30% discount and buy another machine. No help not fixing no replacement 12 month warranty is gone to bad Sir. Customer service is out of the country and cocky. Don’t waste your money.

Good brew, lots of design flaws
It brews delicious coffee, and I like the milk frother that tucks away out of sight. Lots of cons though:- It feels like the pitcher was designed by someone who has never poured a liquid out of a container before. The top is almost perfectly circular, so it pours a wide, unwieldy amount. And there's an inner lip that makes the problem worse, and the pitcher harder to clean.- Unlike most drip machines, this only offers a handful of options for how much coffee to make, and if it's less than half a pitcher, it won't turn on the heating plate automatically (because it assumes you're using a cup or travel mug).- The water dispenser starts to smell mildewy very quickly, because it retains water in the bottom piece that controls flow. Twice a week I run hot water through it, while using a toothpick underneath to let water run through. It's a pain.
