Good quality. Battery and Rasp pi not included.
Note: this is just the external console without drivers, battery, raspberry pi. Make sure you buy the other's separately in krder to play this. One, the package is good and the item was protected very well, the game hat is easy to install. Two, the design is good and I like it, the screen is big enough to display, and the sound is also good. Specifically, there are four buttons on one side allow you to adjust screen brightness, contrast, volume etc. However, they don't provide user manual, images and drivers, in the box. You need to find it from their wiki, it would help a lot if you are a beginner.

Easy to assemble for beginners, only major issue is the joystick.
I decided to pick this up because I always wanted a mobile Retropie, but I’m not a big fan of soldering, so I wanted a nice all in one project. This thing is a super simple set up with a simple plug and play for the hardware, and the SD card simply requires you to take an image from their site and burn it on the SD.The buttons with the exception of the joy stick are all pretty responsive and work well. The joystick is the major flaw with this design as it makes playing PlayStation games like resident evil very rough. Overall it works well with classic systems like Super Nintendo or Sega genesis, and if that’s what you are looking for this will be a decent project for you.Another problem I would point out is that the case is a little uncomfortable to hold because of the hard edges. The lithium batteries it requires too are going to give you a lifespan of around 2 hours, and I find it more effective to replace them with other charges batteries rather than waiting for the system to charge, and swapping out the batteries requires you to remove the back case.Overall I would say it is worth the purchase if you want a quick setup without the hassle of a rough assembly. I like the design and the screen, I just think it really needs a d-pad and a case with rounded edges to make it perfect, hopefully this will be a revision someday.

Perfect
Perfect addition to my retro pie. I have one in a 3d printed case but still requires all the hours if I take it anywhere. This allows me to carry it where ever I go.Integrated standard microusb charger so you can use either a wall or car adapter. Sturdy. Easy to use. I love that it uses a18650 battery that's easy to change so I can take multiple batteries with me if I don't have easy access to a charger.

Just follow instructions and you’ll love it!!!
I love it!!! I was about to build one with a 3D printed case but this thing was just too easy to get running and affordable. Super Mario 64 plays pretty well but a couple slowdowns, but so did the original!

Fun Project
Important to remember you need to assemble this yourself and you need to buy a Rasberry with PSU and battery separately. The components of the KIT seem very well made and assembling it was easy. I had real difficulty getting the drivers installed so it would recognize the buttons. It has a detailed user guide but I just couldn't get it to work. Even our IT guy at work couldn't get it to work. Eventually I found a youtube video and followed this and it worked no problem. It works well but the screen really is a little small for many games but perfectly playable. Text can be very small and the video is ok but not as good as an iPhone for instance. Sound is OK but not as good as a PSP. Battery life seems good and I have had several hours in multiple sessions. There are plenty of warnings about bad batteries on Amazon but I took the risk and they seem ok. Note : The case really is pretty uncomfortable to use for long periods and I found myself getting cramp . An interesting toy but not easy on the hand like a PSP or Gameboy.

Great retro game player, even better if you have a 3d printer!
This is awesome! I put a Pi 4b in mine and used my 3D printer to print a nice case for it, and I couldn't be happier! The buttons are a little stiff, but you get used to them. And with a nice battery you can game for plenty of hours! Mine gets lots of use with Game Boy, NES, and SNES roms. Fun for any retro gamer or tinkerer!
