Al lot of image shift and back lash in focuser knob
Dislike the focuser image shift and to much back lash in focuser knob. Like. The image is bright and sharp after the telescope cools down but can take a long time if different than outside air temp. Pricy for a plastic end cap scope. Needs a standard dove tail for a different finder scope. Replaced the factory one and use a SvBony straight through correct image illuminated finder scope. Used ZWO ASI678MC camera and and a 2X barlow, the ZWO app software for stacking and post processing for this image of Saturn and moon craters.

It's big, bright, clear, heavy, and f/10
This thing is huge. Be sure you want an F/10 scope though, while It's great for planetary viewing there are scope types better suited for viewing DSOs (nebulas etc).. The high gain makes bright objects like the moon VERY bright. The focus works better than I expected with no slop and a nice greasy feel with no grit or stiction. The finder is the usual straight through crap that requires a limbo artist to use when pointed anywhere but your neighbors window. I have never noticed any mirror flop when panning around wither, needing very little refocusing not caused by varying human eyeballs.

Nice telescope
Nice telescope, pretty compact, I'm no telescope expert but it does the trick for me for both celestial and terrestrial viewing.

Surely satisfied
It is compact size and ideal for planetary observation. Building is also sufficient and looks taste better than imagined. The easy-to-use size allows you to avoid disliking to carry. It is also suitable for enjoying with family, but it has enough performance even when seriously using it. One disappointing thing is that the finder base is not a dovetail groove. When trying the auto guide with the small guider, it is a little hard to install.

Celestron C6 is a great scope if you have the right mount
The Celestron C6A OTA is a great foundation for a lunar or planetary observation telescope. I have used it for lunar photography and some planetary photography. It's great for observation with decent 12mm, 9mm and 6mm eyepieces and can let you see Saturn and Jupiter with some good level of detail. Tracking at high magnification really calls for a Goto or EQ mount that can allow you to easily track celestial objects since this scope has a focal length of 1500mm. I don't have a Goto mount so I use the C6 on an Explore Scientific EQ mount that's rated for ~20 lbs. An EQ mount is slightly better than an Alt-Azimuth mount in that the EQ mount requires only a one knob adjustment to effectively track an object in the sky once the mount has been polar aligned. For taking photos I use and recommend a CMOS or CCD astrophotography camera to get the best results in the easiest manner. These types of cameras are easier to attach to the scope and add less weight to the gear on the mount but require the use of a laptop to control the camera. While I use a Nikon D7200 camera mounted on this scope sometimes, I get better results with the astrophotography camera. The pictures attached were taken with a Meade LPI-G Advanced camera and SharpCap software. I have also used the Svbony camera found here on Amazon for $60 to $70 and it works surprisingly well for such a low priced camera. You would most likely need a Goto mount for deep sky astrophotography so I can't speak to that and the Alt-Az and EQ mounts are a challenge to point straight up without some kind of wedge and need auto-tracking for longer exposures and maybe a focal reducer so I haven't tried it. Overall, the Celestron C6A is a great scope in a relatively light package that provides enough power, flexibility and future growth potential that you will want to keep it and use it often.

Great product, long time reputation of fine products...
Excellent product! I've used celestron telescopes for many years. Took photos of Halley's comet back in 1987 using a a Celestron super C 8. So that's why I bought this CA 6 OTA...

Beautiful bright images in a telescope Celestron C6
The image quality is superb, with great accuracy. To adjust the focus, simply turn the knob behind the telescope and the image will be an impressive sharpness. A strong mounting is recommended to hold him.The telescope's box is a little big, but it fit perfectly within my suitcase and I carried it without problems by plane. The only problem is the lens cover, because it is made of hard plastic and must be removed very carefully not to bump the lens and scratch it. The base of the lens cap should be rubberized.

Great scope in small form factor
Great scope in a small form factor. Years ago I had an 8" but I like the 6" much more.
