SH01 Portable Wireless Camera System,Yellow

I purchased the Swift Hitch from a 3rd party Amazon reseller called "Essex" When I received it, all it displayed was a "white" screen and no video. Obviously the unit was defective. When I called Essex, I received no help at all. I then decided to reach out to the manufacture to see if they could help me. When I called, Todd Kadis picked up the phone and helped me immediately. He informed me that "Essex" was not an authorized reseller and that more than likely they sell "reconditioned" electronics and that my Swift Hitch was most likely a defective unit that they tried to repair and were unsuccessful in doing so. Todd informed me that they would replace my Swift Hitch immediately with a new one and I received the new Swift Hitch 4 days later via UPS. Overall this is an excellent product and it does what it says. There is a distance limitation with it, probably 30 Ft. give/take, but overall, if you are using this for trailering/hauling, you can't go wrong with it. Last, excellent customer service! If you have any questions/concerns, be certain that they will pick up the phone and help you resolve the issues/concerns you have.

I am using the camera and monitor a distance of six feet and there is so much static in the monitor I can't see the trailer ball. It's useless. All the bluetooth devices in the area are turned off as this was stated as a reason for interference in other reviews. For $200 you would think they could figure out a way to use another frequency so I wouldn't have to disable other electronics and could connect at least six feet apart. Oh well. The old method (wife) worked good.

I have had this now for two years and wouldn't be without it. Makes it so much easier to hook up a trailer. Picture is good, contrast is good and works OK with very little light. The TV portion doesn't hole a charge very long, but it will work when plugged in. The camera hasn't needed to be charged and starts up right away when the on button is clicked. Very sturdy, I have dropped it on concrete and it still works.

A good alternative to expensive backup systems. Easy to use and gives a good picture when backing up to a trailer hitch. The magnetic base could be stronger but it will work fine to guide you to hitch. The battery tends to die if not used often but is easy to charge up with the dual splitter charging cord. I have to revise my opinion of this product. It did fail on me and I was very disgusted with my purchase. I finally called the mfg and left a message about my problem. I told them I had recently purchased the system and used it only two times before the monitor failed. They sent me an email with shipping instructions to return the unit and they would check it out. They replaced the monitor with a new one no questions asked and I did not even include the receipt. The SHO 1 is a good unit for the price quality is not as good as a factory installed unit but this was 10% of the cost of a factory equipped back up camera system.

I am a farmer and purchased the Swift Hitch to use when loading semi trucks with grain. The product comes with very nice quality soft bags for storing the camera and screen when not in use (one bag for each piece). Also included was a video cable to connecting your screen to a larger television, and a DC power cable with two ends in order to charge both the camera and screen at the same time off just one outlet. The product worked great and I would have given a full five star review until the temperatures dropped below freezing. Now when I use the product the screen seems to flicker a little and is a little harder to see. This wouldn't be too much of a problem for someone that is using it while in park, however if your vehicle is moving it is a little harder to pay attention to a fuzzy screen and control your vehicle at the same time. I would recommend this product.

Exceeded all of my expectations. I have a F250 crew cab pulling two (not at one time) 28' enclosed trailers starting at 6:30 am. Anyone who has to load a trailer of this size knows that isn't fun even during the day. My wife wont come with me to help so lets just say it takes quite a while to load them by myself. This camera is awesome. The fact that it only comes with the car charger really isn't a big deal. They charge quickly and both at the same time. I put the camera on the back of the truck with it started and my Bluetooth headset on and walked 35' away from the camera in front of the truck and still had a good picture. If you are looking for something perfect, order the one from the factory that fits your vehicle for $1000. Otherwise this camera works great. I would buy this camera again in a heartbeat.

The picture breaks up and is terrible when I place the camera on the tailgate of my longbed crew cab. It has one job to do and can't do it.

I have one of these Swift Hitch cameras and it's obsolete now. I am currently using an action cam (SJCAM 5000x elite $125) that broadcasts its own wireless connection that I can use with my Android/iPhone. You can also use a GoPro, but they cost considerably more than my current solution. My SJCAM also has interchangeable batteries, audio, 1080p full color display, records to micro SD, includes several options for mounting and is waterproof with the enclosure. The problems I have with the Swift Hitch are that whenever I want to use it the batteries are usually dead and it takes a long time to charge. I can also expect that the Swift Hitch hand held unit and camera internal batteries will need to be replaced when their shelf life is completely dead. Good luck with that. My action cam also has multiple uses and the batteries are inexpensive, quickly charged and easily replaceable. The video quality with the Swift Hitch is also not that great and is often noisy and the range is minimal (< 50 feet).

This product turned out to be above my expectations! Exterior finish is very attractive & overall quality is better than expected. It is a good value for the price

The product won’t charge properly so that it can be used. The picture only stays up for a few seconds then there is just a fuzzy screen. I contacted Amazon and they did nothing. Said it was the Manufacturer that needed to be contacted and now it is past the return date so they will not refund. I purchased this item as my Dad has one that works seamlessly, this one has not worked from day one

Works good but a little shot on range

The LCD screen is a little bit to small but it is doing the job. Good product for back up and attach fifth Wheel.

Used this product previously and worked fairly well although image tended to freeze for short periods. Unfortunately, I bumped the original camera which fell and stopped working one day. I then ordered this product again to replace the damaged one. However this replacement one did not work well from the beginning. Even the distance from back of truck to cab causes constant cycling of intermittent snowy haze on screen for 10-15 seconds with only 5-10 sec periods where screen clears. Very frustrating and not very useful!
