Execellent AMP
Very easy to set up, performs very well. I had some outdoor speaker wire runs that were well over 100' and anticipated that bridging would be required. Nope. This amp drives all 12 channels nicely. I have only had it set up for a few months now, but very pleased with the performance so far. I would actually dock 1/2 a star for the following reasons. The individual output level controls for each channel are located on the back of the amp making them relatively inaccessible. Your pretty much stuck with whatever volume setting you set it at, unless you install a volume control unit for each speaker pair or speaker zone. My only other gripe is how this product was shipped to me. It showed up on my door step in the same standard box that it comes with directly from the manufacturer. With this very minimal packaging technique, you would have to have a lot of confidence in UPS or other couriers to deliver a $1k stereo component without causing some damage to the unit.

Easy to setup
Easy to setup, and works great to power speakers through out my house and pool. I added a Sound Activated Automatic Two-Way Source Selector (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L9YVL90) to automatically switch between an Apple Airport Express and the audio out on my main family room AV receiver. This enables me to pump audio from my phone through out the house any time with out having to turn anything on or to extend my AV receivers output through the house.

No Luck with this Product
Failed on arrival. Plugged it in and got no status lights. Thought it was the outlet. Tried different outlets to no avail. Returned it.

Poor reliability and subpar support
I purchased two of these units in February of 2015. I had one channel dead-on-arrival, and I had to pay the shipping costs back to the manufacturer for repair. They provided the repair and the return shipping back to me for free. Then a few months later another channel went bad, and the same procedure (and costs) ensued. Now, a little less than 2.5 years later (warranty is 2 years) I had another channel go bad. I expected that I'd have to pay more than the $50-$60 more than I paid when inside the warranty for the shipping costs, but holy cow...here's the email I received upon submitting my problem online:"The unit being outside of warranty will require a $650 flat rate to repair. If it can’t be repaired it will be shipped back to you. If you would like to proceed, please call us here and confirm your contact information is still the same. Thanks and have a nice day."As I found out in this whole repair process, Niles is part of "Core Brands" (Elan, SpeakerCraft, Gefen, Furman, Niles, Panamax, etc). I certainly won't be purchasing a Niles product ever again, and I'd have to think twice before purchasing any other associated brands.

I give it 4 stars
Amp works great. I would have bumped it the other star if the Speaker connectors weren't so cheap... I replaced a Sonance AMP, that had rugged Speaker connections. This is 1/2 the connector, you have the pin coming down the center that blocks heavy gauge wire, and you feel that you could snap it off if you tightened a bit to tight. Other than that it appears and sounds great.PS I replaced the Sonance because it kept blowing channels as the Crestron cycled off zones. ( over a 5 year period )

Great for whole house audio
Purchased and installed about a year ago. Runs a few ceiling speakers for surround sound and the remaining channels used for whole house in-ceiling audio. I power mine through a home theater surge protector because, well, this is Florida and clean power is tough to come by. Rock solid so far, does what its supposed to do. Make sure you understand the specs and requirements of your speakers like if running them in series or parallel, impedance, etc. and you'll be fine.

This is a great amp. use case I have is that it powers multiple speakers with different sources. I have airport expresses plugged into different inputs for different speakers and with the 'sound sense' mode you don't need to turn on the amp. Just pick the speakers/airports in itunes/remote and they start playing through the associated speakers. I have a mix of indoor, 4ohm and bridged outdoor 8ohm on the same amp, all with different sources. The power and function have worked for me for years. I just bought another one for a new environment.

Great and easy to use
Bought it to replace a series 1 (I kinda broke)...plugged in 6 zones, worked perfectly. I really like the ease and power of this unit.
