First of all, people need to understand: When ordering binoculars online, especially ones in this range, you are taking the chance you will get a bad pair. Between the factory and the shipping to your door, there's a chance the pair you get WILL BE OUT OF COLLIMATION. This means you will see double and never get a merged focused image. In other words, they'll be useless. If you read through reviews that's the main complaint people have and they conclude the binoculars "just suck". However, it seems the number of bad are outweighed by the number of good ones people received. And Amazon is really good at returns and exchanges, so you really just stand to lose time and convenience having to make the return if they are out of collimation. Having said that... Since my main use is for stargazing I already had gotten the 15x70 SkyMaster, which is also an excellent pair for the price. But because of their size, for hand-held use they can be difficult to use. I can manage pretty well, but my wife definitely had a harder time, so I took a chance with these. Having taken the collimation gamble with the SkyMasters and being a pessimist, I wasn't expecting my luck to be good twice in a row. But these also arrived in collimation and focused just fine. After the relief of that, the second thing I noticed was how much easier they were to hold, and therefore, how much better and stable the image was. Using them at night was just as easy. Between their size and lower magnification I was able to focus in on objects a lot easier than with the SkyMasters. My wife also found them MUCH easier to use. The image is not as close or as bright, but for hand held use the stability of the smaller one wins. However, even though I could see Jupiter and it's moons 'good' with these 10x50's for a longer time, I still switched to the 15x70's for a 'better' but shorter view. That wouldn't be an issue with a good sturdy tripod though and the bigger one would win ~hands down~ (see what I did there?). Like the Skymasters, these came with a thin flimsy soft case, a cheap neckstrap, lens caps, and a tiny microfiber cloth. Unlike the Skymasters, it didn't come with a tripod adapter, which isn't a big deal since most will use them hand-held and the tripod adapter the Skymaster did come with really sucks anyway. It appears to be a well-built pair of binoculars, but that's not saying anything if a good enough bump knocks them out of collimation. Taking that into account, I ditched the flimsy carrying bags for both pairs of binoculars and put them in "Plano Protector Four Pistol" cases. Overkill maybe, but made me feel better. Overall, for $20-30 binoculars, these are really good.

After a long hiatus I have recently rekindled my interest in astronomy. I purchased these binoculars with an Amazon gift certificate given to me for Christmas by my best and most dearest friend. Thanks again Joyce!!! These binoculars cost me $32.33 shipping included. $32.33? These are a great bargain!!! They are well made and I have not been able to detect any flaws in workmanship. Everything that I have observed with these has come in crystal clear. Birds,aircraft,distant structures,and the night sky were all seen in detail. Just gazing into the night sky with these babies allows you to see stars and constellations that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Of course at this price these are made in China. Pretty much everything that is on or at my desk is made in China (except me!) For $32.33 you cannot go wrong. If you are looking for a pair of binoculars that you can utilize for just about any outdoors activity then order a pair of these. Over the course of my life I have owned many binoculars. These are just has good as other binoculars that I have owned that cost over ten times as much! Celestron's lifetime warranty cannot be beat. Just remember to print out your Amazon purchase order and keep it in a safe place. You will need it if you want Celestron to fulfill their warranty should the need arise. These are not high end binoculars. The strap and case are cheesy, the front caps fall off and the rear caps are hard to put on. The first time I replaced the rear lens caps I was surprised when the eyepieces moved. The arm that supports them is plastic. The eye relief is not all that great, so when wearing glasses you can't quite see the full field of view even with the eye cups folded down. However, for my purpose they are fine. I have a nice pair of 7x35 binoculars, but I wanted something with larger objective lenses for star gazing. These are great for that. Collimation of mine is spot on and the image is sharp and clear. There is a noticeable improvement in brightness and detail over my other pair. The rubbery covering feels good, and they don't weigh much more than my 7x35. Focusing is nice and smooth. Instead of the case and caps, I keep them in a plastic bag on a shelf. Not fancy, but functional. The strap I can live with. With care, I believe they will last a long time. And, if I drop them, it's not the end of the world. That's nice when you're fumbling around in the dark. I can see why some folks receive damaged binoculars. The manufacturer's box is not designed for shipping. There is just a thin strip of foam in the bottom. Amazon puts it in a larger box with some air bladders to fill up the space. There is no padding around the inner box. So, if it gets tossed around, like many packages do, the binoculars take the full brunt of it. Delicate optical instruments should have foam cushion all around.

Very clear, bright optics. Lovely design, eyepieces are on a spring arrangement so they don't bump against your eyes, shape with small thumb indentations makes holding the binoculars properly easy, very smooth focusing. This is like the millionth version of some product, everything has been optimised as far as it can go. I like mine a lot.

Ich nutze das Fernglas seit über einem Jahr und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Es hat eine klare und kontrastreiche Abbildung und ein vergleichsweise geringes Gewicht. Auf Wanderungen ist es fast immer dabei. Da es noch gut in der Hand gehalten werden kann nutze ich es auch astronomisch. Wegen des großen Gesichtsfeld ist es ideal zum Absuchen von Sternfeldern oder heranpirschen an Objekte anhand von Sternmustern. Da es mit 10x50 nahezu die gleiche Abbildung liefert wie das Sucherfernohr meiner Teleskope (9x50) eignet es sich hervorragend zum Einprägen von Sternmustern bevor man mit dem Sucher loslegt. Bei längeren Beobachten ist dann aber besser ein Stativ zu verwenden (ich nutze den Celestron Trailseeker) - und bei lichtschwachen Objekten besser ein Astro-Fernglas wie den SkyMaster.

Binoculars are exceptional for the price! I have owned many pairs of field glasses over the years and I find these probably the easiest to focus, especially tuning in the right eye dial. I have read some people complaining about various little issues like the lens caps not fitting properly, but the fact of the matter for this price you should be thankful they have caps. I have no complaints about these glasses, they are true, clear and seem sturdy in my hand. Folks, you can't expect $45 binoculars to compare to $200 ones... that seems to be what some comments are saying. bottom line is for this kind of money you are getting an exceptional product. If you want to spend 4x as much and get better glasses than do it, but don't spend $45 and complain there not as good. If I spent $200 I probably wouldn't be happy, but for this price I'm ecstatic! If you want a good pair of glasses at an exceptional price you will like these glasses, they do the job!
