Best $60 dollars spent!!!
This is an excellent SUV scanner, the Autel ML519 as of now, I don't need to pay for a yearly subscription for updates but you know with technology that can change in the future!!!I just purchased a 2002 2nd Generation Honda CRV LX FWD with 181,000 original miles, I retire in two years and it will become my daily driver, I live in Colorado!!! I am learning this scanner and getting use to the capacity of this scanner. It works everytime, I plug it in my 2002 Honda CRV LX FWD and it is just great to have available for checking codes on a weekly basis.Best 60 dollars, I have spent in a while, I will give a yearly review of my scanner because, I believe it is very important for the average daily driver to have one of these scanners and keep it available in their vehicles!!!It's always better to be safe than having to worry about what is going on with your vehicle not having a vehicle scanner!!!I appreciate the simplicity of this scanner and it has already paid for itself!!!

Nice OBD ll Scanner with Protective Rubber Strip and Carry Case
Very nice OBD II Scanner. I did extensive research of all the scanners available on Amazon before I made this purchase. This one checked off all of the features that I was looking for. Aside from its' diagnostic abilities, it has a rubber protective strip around the unit to prevent damage if it's dropped by accident. Secondly, it comes with a durable carrying case for easy storage. When I had a question, the Autel Customer Service was very responsive.

A Good Tool to have
The Scanner was easy to use and the instructions were complete. It does not hurt to view some online videos concerning this OBD scanner either. I bought a used car with extremely low miles in great condition and want to keep good care of it. The engine is super clean, the body in like new condition and the maintenance was done mostly by Toyota dealership throughout it's history. It had small problems that were correctly quickly and the maintenance was unkept on a regular basis. I flushed and replaced the coolant and the transmission, change the oil and filter, replaced the tires and want to keep it in top working order. But the mission is not to get taken by a dealership when the car is put into maintenance or service. So, this unit is easy to use and can even give live graphic data to the condition of the components being monitored. It also can give you ideas of the problems that could be affecting the engine components and what could be the possible problem in layman terms. It also has a lot of different vehicle types to choose from when inquiring about information on the trouble codes that get generated. When using this device I found the most likely component causing a hard start condition is most likely the MAF sensor. Now i have given myself an option and that is to get a can of MAF sensor cleaner and nothing but and remove the unit and spray clean it myself and see if that resolves the problem. Of course following all the recommended directions in doing so. And if that does not change the condition again I have the option to change out the sensor myself. The spray cleaner is not very much and the part cost about seventy to eighty dollars. The dealership would cost you at least four times that amount. The reason I came to believe the MAF sensor was having problems was because of the live data stream i could watch on this device and understanding that there needed to be a constant change in values and there was not when I was watching live stream data on this scanner. A great tool in my opinion for the novice such as me. It works and is very handy when needed. Another word though, I do not plan to sound off when i go to the dealer with this information and try to sound like a big mechanic or anything, it is again only a tool to help determine the problems with a car having trouble and you can make the choice once a service manager come tot tell you that you have this problem and this problem and this problem and you need this and that. The only thing mostly holding up dealership is their maintenance departments and what they can charge a customer for service and parts. The mark up is insane, but the bottom line you really want a maintenance group that is familiar with your vehicle and has the parts and personnel that is qualified to do the service, hence forth a dealership that sold you the vehicle, preferably a dealership that deals in those makes and models. Again i am just a novice with this device and am still learning, but it is at this point a great product to have, it does what it says it will do and nothing less.

Good scanner every DIY mechanic needs.
This scanner is slightly larger than my cell phone, works very well and quickly advises trouble codes. It’s something all DIYers need in their toolbox. Although it doesn’t have advanced features to program, it does very well with check engine light diagnostics, and can clear out codes.Good value for the price.

Perfect for what I need
I got this specifically to check on some work done on my 2002 Mercedes SL500. It works perfectly for that and confirmed that the car was ready for a smog check. The live data function is fun. Not really all that useful for someone who is not actively tuning the car or running down a problem but still fun to see what the motor is doing. The VIN check could be really valuable in ensuring the car you are looking at purchasing really is the car shown on the VIN tag.For the money, I think it's an excellent buy. Not too big, but functional enough to get most DIYers pointed in the right direction.
