A hammock in my living room = happy kids :-)
Couldn't believe the price when I saw this, nor that it sets up in only a few minutes...but it does! I was able to set it up all by myself. I don't think I even needed any tools. We bought this to use as an adjunct to my son's occupational therapy and we all had fun with it. The kids and I had a blast rocking in it and they even slept in it a few nights. We all rocked back and forth with no worries or feelings of shakiness, falling apart, etc. Very sturdy! I love that the instructions are on the carry bag (covered with a vinyl window, no less!) and that I could carry it in the bag without collapsing under the weight. (But be warned - it is not light as a feather, either!) Not as spacious as with the full-size stand but still room for 2 kids or an adult and 2 kids (ages 10 & 14, but a little small for their ages), or 2 average adults. If you're 6ft tall, you might want the full-size stand, though. Will make a great addition to future camping trips and so portable, I'm tempted to take it to sporting practice in the spring. (If I gotta be there, why not in style? :-) It has stretched some since we first used it, but we merely moved the metal 'loops' at the ends to lower hooks which raised the hammock bottom to a suitable level.Another note, we chose the tropical pattern, which made the hammock very affordable - didn't cost much more than the stand itself does if purchased separately. I think it looks much better than the more durable outdoor fabric option (whatever it was called). But the tropical pattern (as stated) can't be left outside in inclement weather. But I'm not sure the stand should be left outside in such weather, either. I don't think it's made of stainless steel, and after seeing my outdoor swing rust to pieces, I'd rather not be so wasteful. It just makes sense that it will last longer if you keep it inside until use, and it's so easy to set up & take down, it should not be a deterrent to frequent use inside or out. So compact, you may stick it in the closet & forget you have it! I may have to stick a reminder in my phone to bring it out & use it more regularly. Perhaps in front of (but not near) the fireplace this winter... :-)

SLEEP LIKE A PIRATE!
I have always wanted a hammock bed.. So I saw this one and went ahead and got it.. It is a very good design for indoor use at 9 feet long.. I'm using it as my bed and it works well.. It adjusts easily as it stretches out from use.. I'm 5'11'' and 230 lbs and it holds me just fine.. I will probably never sleep in a bed again after using this hammock..With winter coming I plan to point a heater at the bottom of it and line the inside with a sleeping bag or nice blanket.. It is real nice in warm weather.. It is big enough to side sleep in and easy to get in and out of but it is different and may not be for everyone.. Just be careful not to stub your toe or trip on the stand as it sticks out a ways.. So far so good..Bought mine from warehouse deals on Amazon and the frame had some paint missing from bad prepping.. It was listed as a return in new condition so no biggie.. I saved a few bucks by doing so and packaging had not been opened.. The hammock is easy to setup and break down but some of the threading on the screw in pipe connectors takes some effort to not cross thread.. But they did go together fine and if done properly there should be no wobble in the stand.. This hammock should not be used as a swing..It is the 100% cotton hammock that you touch and feel and it is nice.. Saw reviews that said it smelled bad but mine had no odor and is very comfortable.. It is recommended by the manufacturer to hand wash it in Woolite or similar product..For a cheapO hammock you can't beat this thing for the price.. All I need now is a parrot, ship & crew and I'm set Harrrr..This product came as described on Amazon and was shipped quickly,, I would buy it again..UPDATE 12/28/2013.. Still sleeping in it and my back loves it.. My family thinks I'm weird but so what I'm happy.. I found I can just wash it in the washing machine on gentle and it is fine.. Every thing is still holding up well.. You need to put pillows under your knees for sleeping on your back or at least I do.. A heater putting warm air under it keeps it nice and warm on cold nights..I got the camping parachute material hammock that works on this frame from amazon and it is ok just watch out for the loops they connect to the hooks on it as it can slip and drop you.. Almost got me and only luck saved me from falling on the pipe frame.. I put padding over it now with that hammock just in case.. That said the cloth hammock that comes with this frame feels very secure and I just got the other nylon one while the cloth hammock dries after a wash.. Probably going to get another double cloth hammock and just use the camping nylon one for camping over very soft ground XD.. Enjoy..

Great so far!
I bought two of these hammocks. I put both of them together in probably 15 minutes. Very simple, no tools required. The hammock stands are hefty and well made. I was looking for a long time and read a million reviews before I settled on this kind. I’m so glad I did. These things are beefy! The stand has a nice finish and is sturdy.I set one up in the house because it was cold and rainy out. I had one cat and one dog up on the hammock with me, and when the dog got up and down, the hammock barely moved. The hammock itself is nice. It had a little bit of an odor when I first opened it, and I would have preferred to wash it before using it, but wasn’t sure how it would wash. The hammock is strong and nicely made. It’s soft and very comfortable. We also have the style of hammocks that you can hang from trees, and we will be able to use those in these stands as well. They had a decent sale on these, and I’m glad I pulled the trigger.Very happy either my purchase, and I hope they last a long time. I wonder if I can find plugs to keep the rain out of the extra holes in the stand, but that’s the only thing I would add.Just get it. You’ll be happy you did.
