Microsoft Wireless Presenter 3000 Gray

Bought this to use on a Toshiba laptop, fired it up, pluged in the usb, brought up the powerpoint and was able to change the slides by a push of a button - buttons are easy to navigate. If never used a remote I do remember having to go to Slide Show at tool bar then Set Up Show- set it to manual I think.

I actually thought that I would order this and it would work for me. I read the reviews beforehand, but I figured it would work for me. I generally like Microsoft products. I figured others were using the device wrong or something.When I took it out of the packaging, it seemed nice. The size is great. The layout of the buttons is great. I was excited. It had every feature that I needed. Plus, the description says it works "up to 50 feet."Here's the deal. I used this in a courtroom twice. Both times it was horribly unreliable. It frustrated the hell out of me. I must have looked ridiculous in front of the jury clicking away thinking my rehearsed slides were keeping up. They weren't.I never got the device to respond from a distance over 10 feet. Reliably, it needs to be about 2-3 feet from the USB receiver. At that range, I can just reach to the keyboard. 50 feet? Not even close.Regarding syncing: I synced this thing about 50 times as the instructions indicate and as others explain on this site. It didn't make any difference.Bottom line: If you need reliability, this is not the device for you.

I received the product in excellent conditions. In the first two days that I used, it works well. After one week the USB connection did not work more. I had to buy another model.

Well I have to admit the presenter was pretty cool at first when playing around with it. However, the range is not described as advertised. I remembered doing my presentation and I had to click on the presenter a couple of times. I do like the timer feature however, I thought it was cool. It is easy to use and i learned how to use it within 10 minutes once I got a great signal. For the price it is not so bad.

There is only a little problem with the case for insert the battery.

This product has some nice features and works well for presenting. I have used it a lot over the years!

Works fine, no issues at all. Just need to keep line of sight with the USB dongle.

D.O.A. First, even though I am 80 years old, I am in fair condition, I even open my own condiment bottle lids. I could not get that blankety-blankety blank battery compartment cover off. Had to get a weight lifter to help me, and he said it was not easy. Second, the unit would not talk to the receiver (oh yeah, the batteries that came with the unit were D.O.A. too). Timer wouldn't work, the only thing that worked was the laser pointer. It is on the way back.
