Last topical fleas/ticks are not resistant to yet.
Virtually all topicals nowadays fleas and ticks are resistant to, this one is still working. My 30lbs dog spends a lot of time in the field and always comes back with ticks. Though I clean him up before he goes into the car, there is always a good chance a tick is hiding in his fur. But even a day later when I do find it, it has not latched on - thanks to this product. Haven't seen a flea in a long time either. The product makes his fur a little oily feeling for a day or two but that is the only "negative" - my dog is not drowsy and seems to have no ill effect.

Amazing.
Great for my dog! She has no irritation. Good bang for my buck.

Still works!
I successfully used this on my dog a long time ago in California and was happy to see it on Amazon. It seems to work the best out of the non-prescription flea meds. It dries quickly, doesn’t have a strong odor and isn’t greasy. Two months in and I had a tick on me but haven’t found a flea or tick on him yet!

From lots of experience, I've settled on Vetra.
I think this is the way to go. I've been a dog-guy and/or police K-9 handler in tick country all my life. I know all those tick diseases, because my dogs have had them all. I've tried every product you can name. Spent thousands. I've also read all the research/scholarly stuff I can find. After loads of observation and research I'm down to either this or the old fashioned K-9 Advantix I can buy in Canada. If just gets them off faster than Bravecto and all the others. I might partner it with a Kiltix or Preventic collar. These work, in my experience. The fact that its less expensive shouldn't detract.I hope you find good results, as I have. All part of a regime that includes treating the most common areas with granules, permethrin/cotton ball perimeter tubes, and vigilant inspection of the dogs.

Works! less expensive than vet for same product
Easy to apply. I'd actually give it 4.5 stars, because it does leave a bit of a light oily residue down my pups back for a while. I usually apply and then take him immediately out for a walk so he doesn't rub it off onto any carpets. It definitely works, I live in a region with a lot of ticks and high instances of lyme disease. As long as I use this as directed (I have a monthly reminder on my calendar), absolutely NO ticks or fleas! He has sensitive skin (can't use scented detergent or even unscented febreeze on his towels or bedding), but has had no issues or reactions with this product.

Only thing I use for my dogs
My vet recommended this product years ago. I didn't love that it was topical but I gave it a go anyways. She was so right. I've done a lot of research on flea and tick prevention and Vectra is top notch. I love that it repels away all bugs and doesn't allow them to even sit on my dogs' fur, let alone latch. I've seen other dogs who have ticks on them but the owner wasn't worried because the medicine they used was non-latching. I'm telling you if I saw a bug on them, I would freak out. I don't even want there to be a chance of latching. This product keeps the bugs away! I have such peace of mind. Cons: it does make your pups oily for a few days but it goes away.
