Nice looking and very sturdy
First off, the assembly instructions were THE BEST I have EVER encountered among the many, many items I've assembled over the years. That is why I gave 5 stars for Easy to Assemble. It's actually quite a bit of work involved and rather time consuming, but the result is a sturdy bed. I was truly impressed with its build. LOTS of "slats" for good support.I also think it's a very attractive, while inexpensive, piece of furniture. However, the one negative, minor (IMO), is that it does scratch easily. This happened only in the course of assembly, and only on parts that are not visible.I have been sleeping on the top bed, on a latex mattress, for about a month now. Very comfortable. I can't comment on the lower bed in that regard because it has not been used. (I would have a hard time getting up from it if I did. I doubt that would be a problem for a younger, spryer person.) I did find that pushing that lower bed under the top one was no piece of cake. It really "just fits," so takes a bit of finesse. Also, unless I was doing something wrong with the casters, it didn't roll real easily. Wasn't horrible, but didn't just slide right under. MAYBE you need to make sure all caster wheels are pointing in the same direction, rather than expecting them to "self correct"? I am not sure if mine were or were not.Last but not least, their customer service was top notch! They respond VERY quickly. I didn't find the set of locking casters until long after, as they were glued into the seam of the big, long box. I thought they were just missing. They sent me another set. Then, when assembling the lower bed, one of the slats was simply too long! It would not go in. They sent me a replacement. OUTSTNDING customer service!

No complaints here
Assembly was fairly straight forward and not too difficult. All the parts were labeled with a sticker, which made it really easy to follow the instructions. It was recommended that two people were required to put it together, but I did it by myself and it took me about an hour and a half, with me pacing myself and not really rushing. The only point where two people might be required would be when you screw the framing pieces to the headboard and footboard, because both sides have to be relatively vertical for the screws to tighten correctly, but I just propped up the headboard against the wall and the footboard against my laundry basket. Probably the only semi-difficult part would be making sure the frame is sturdy and secure; you have to use the nut wrench (they provide it) to hold the nut in place from the bottom while you screw the bolt from the top using the allen wrench (also provided), because it's impossible to tighten completely without using both at the same time.Once put together, the bed looks very nice and feels very sturdy. There's no squeaking or shaking. The reason I chose this bed was because I didn't want to buy a box spring (this bed doesn't require one), and I wanted a bed made entirely of metal, including the bed slats. A lot of "metal" beds out there have wooden bed slats, and this was one of the few I found where even the bed slats were metal. It looks very nice from a distance; up close, you can see that the welding isn't that pretty looking, but that's not really a big concern for me, and it's better than I expected from the price. Also, before buying this bed, I did take a look at the reviews for this bed and other beds from this seller, and noted that there were more than a few instances of missing parts and/or instructions. After reading all of those reviews, I chose to still order this bed because it met my "all metal" requirements at a price that wasn't obscene. That said, I did give myself plenty of time just in case my order arrived with missing parts and/or instructions and I would have to call for them to be shipped separately; I didn't dismantle my old bed until after I unpacked this order and made sure everything was there. I wouldn't recommend buying this bed if you have a bed emergency and need one ASAP, based on those other reviews, BUT, if you have the time and are prepared for the possibility of that happening, I think it's a great bed for a great price. It's your choice whether or not to take a chance on the shipping issues, but, on functionality, looks, and cost, I do recommend this bed.

Strong & Attractive; 5 Stars Despite Assembly Flaw
I am currently giving this bed a five star review despite minor problems with assembly.SHIPPING:Very heavy box. Shake the box after pulling out all of the long metal parts to ensure you get all of the small boxes containing the little pieces needed for assembly.STRENGTH:The description says the daybed a holds up to 400 pounds. It feels strong and secure to me, though it has only been holding my 129 pounds and my cat’s 13 pounds supportively and comfortably for about 28 hours now. I may revise my review depending on how it holds up over time under more strain.APPEARANCE:It has an attractive design that fits in well with contemporary and antique style rooms. This daybed provides very spacious seating once you put a mattress on it while taking up less space than some other frames for twin mattresses. I like the dull dark brown color because it matches some wooden furniture finishes; I would not have liked it as much if it were shiny.DAYBED ASSEMBLY:The instructions were clear and no pieces were missing. This bed would have been easier to assemble with two people. As a young woman living alone, I managed to do it myself in 3 hours. The most difficult part to do on my own was the long backrest piece labeled “I.” I needed to put the right half of the backrest on a chair while I screwed the left side into the support post on the left. Once I did that, the backrest hung in midair and it was simpler to screw the right side of the backrest into the right post. The only flaw with assembly seems to be with the rungs sliding into the slots of the frame (see photos). Most of them fit into slots on both sides of the frame and the plastic pieces secure them to ensure they do not move. Unfortunately, one rung on the left and two on the right don’t lock into place on both sides (just one side), and the plastic pieces won’t fit into those irregular spaces. I scratched up the metal trying to make them fit (see photos). The scratches are not a huge problem since that part of the bed remains covered. The bed still supports me lying on it and doesn’t move in spite of this flaw, thus I am not removing a star for it at this time.TRUNDLE:I have not assembled the trundle that comes with the daybed, so I cannot speak to its effectiveness. Instead, I got a pop-up trundle from a friend and it fits under this daybed frame perfectly (see photos) and pops up to the exact same height because they are both standard sizes. Others should be able to get a pop-up trundle from another source to fit underneath this daybed if desired. So far, I am happy and recommend this bed.

Love this bed!
I've wanted a white bed for a while, and this one is just about perfect. It looks great, easy to get in and out of, doesn't squeak, and not too hard to put together. Plus, the price was right! A winner in my book.

Decent quality bed frame, design appealing, and like the two height options.
Relatively easy to assemble.Looks just like the photos provided. Two height options are a nice feature. Not sure how good bed slats will be over the long term for a platform style mattress.

AMAZING DAYBED!!!!
By far the best daybed I've seen. Was skeptical due to the reviews but decided to try anyway. The pictures don't do justice. Beautiful stylish modern daybed. The structure and engineering of the base is just brilliant can't be explained! The company even applied a breaker to the bottom bed which enables the mover sleepers ever feel their rolling away. Ikea offers a higher price for just plane simple and hard to fit with current livingroom style. DHP provides style, comfort and a beautiful feeling. Great also when you have a gathering with friends and watching tv everyone can have their own comfort instead of sitting on a chair and others on a simple couch! You get a couch, comfort for guests to sleep on a real matress and a stylish room for 300$ not even a 2 for 1 price. if you're not happy you can return it with prime. What's the risk? Believe me I was still hesitant thank God I listened to my instincts.
