Definitely give them a shot
They kick ass. I'm a life long firm believer in pioneer bang for the buck, but these pyles are impressive. So far. I don't have them on an amplifier yet, just on the line level, that's why I said "so far" I have the 6×9 pyles in the back and 6" matching pyles in the front doors. I have a pioneer deh 160bt head unit, the four pyles and a 15" Rockville sub in a bass tube that I made from a 16" concrete sono tube. With all the adjustments that the pioneer head unit has, it really hits hard and believe it or not, even without an amplifier on the pyles, the highs are super clear. What I do is turn the remote bass knob down and then turn the head unit up until the point just before distortion and then you do the same for the remote bass knob. I'm going to paint the bass tube when I'm done with the bodywork and I'll paint it with the rest of the car, so don't laugh

They are good just require a speaker harness and a frame.
They come at a pair so you get 2 instead of just one speaker im ngl i thought it was just one but both of them came. I recommend you to get a frame with these just so they can fit better because i used these for my nissan altima 2013 and they required a frame. They might also require a speaker harness due to them not being factory made. Sound wise they actual sound very good i personally feel like they reduce the bass tho, but for the price they are at i 100% recommend.

Be sure to match the ohm requirements for best sound and use a good amp and power supply.
Great little speaker! I have built these into small enclosures to when added blue tooth to antique radios. The sound good and have excellent frequency range from low to high. They are well made with good fit and finish.

Good price for a good speaker.
Bought 2 sets of these for the wife's car, much better than the originals and as good as some of the bigger name replacements I've used. The wife is happy.

Surprisingly good speaker for the money
I bought the Pyle PL53BL speakers to replace the factory rear seat side panel speakers in my 97 Dodge 2500 Club Cab. I bought these before removing the original speakers, as all the speaker fitment guides here and elsewhere indicated these were a fit. They did fit but weren't an exact fit as the original speakers were closer to a 5.75" or possibly 6" size. The two speaker mounting points in the truck's metal were spaced just close enough to enable me to get mounting screws in the slots in the Pyle speaker frames, so they did mount OK. However, due to the smaller diameter there was a sizable air gap (about 1.8" or so) between the speaker and hole in the truck's metal. I closed off this gap using some putty-like weather rope seal from a big box home improvement store.I'm running these speakers on an older Alpine CDA-9856 head unit and Alpine 3566 6-channel amp (conservatively rated 35W RMS x4 and 120W RMS for bridged sub channel into 4 Ohms). Following advice from several reviewers and professional installers, I bought a roll of sound dampening material to apply to the door panels and elsewhere. I bought roof repair material - Tape and Seal is one brand - which is very similar to another very high priced product and it worked quite well. Once this was done and the speakers were mounted and connected to the amp, I turned it on for the first time. After the initial checkup to make sure all speakers were working, I cranked up the volume to a pleasantly loud level and was very surprised and pleased to hear the quality of sound coming from these inexpensive speakers. Being 5.25" bass drivers they understandably don't produce much bass output but the midrange and highs are much smoother and detailed than I was expecting. I paired these up with a pair of Pyle Driver PLDV6K 6.5" 2-way component speakers in the front doors and I'm very pleased with how nicely these compliment them. They're well matched regarding their efficiency, producing very near the same volume level and similar sound quality. While not quite as smooth and clear as the fronts, they do a splendid job of providing clean sounding music to fill the rear seat area and filling the back of the cab. They're SO much better than the original factory speakers. So, long story short, I HIGHLY recommend these for anyone looking for a very reasonably priced, smaller coax system and wants surprisingly accurate, smooth and detailed sound quality and listens to their music at reasonably loud levels. I would definitely buy these again and recommend these to others.UPDATE: After about 2 years these speakers have basically "given up the ghost" and for the most part are now inoperable. I had hoped they would be able to handle the clean power of my Alpine amp, especially since they weren't getting all the bass signal they would in a full range system, but alas they didn't. They are now working intermittently, with audio "popping on and off" as the speakers' litz wire (the flexible wire between the frame and cone) apparently makes and breaks continuity. I still liked the sound quality they produced when they worked well earlier, I'm just now believing they aren't made to handle even the 35+ watts RMS/channel my amp can produce. The front Pyle Driver PLDV6K 6.5" 2-way component speakers on the other hand are still performing well, which is why I believe it's just a simple matter of inadequate power handling ability that has caused these speakers to die off. In a lesser powered system they may work better and longer.

Decent speakers but one wire too short.
Should be a decent set of speakers for the cost. I've purchased all 4 speakers for my truck with Pyle and all 4 turned out good and sound great for my needs, the old factory ones were gone, shot, no good, couldn't even stand to listen to them. So, I decided to buy 4 more for my 02 accord since all of those are factory speakers and are getting old. The one thing I noticed when i recieved these 6x9's was one of the wires off the cone was too short and did not have enough room for cone flexing that a set of speakers like these would require. I uploaded a picture of what I did to resolve this small but "significant" issue. I just simply soldered a small piece of wire too it so it can allow room for flexing. Don't know how or why it was short, but it's not a good idea to leave it that way and not worth the trouble or hassle to return it due to one short wire, the other speaker is just fine. As you can clearly see on the left wire, if I didn't add the piece of wire, it more likely would have been pulled off the terminal while the cone flexed, there was no room for flexing as it was. Outside of that I see no problems with these speakers, I knocked off one star for this issue, I'm sure it was overlooked when they were made, and I've had good results with this brand for my truck. They're not high end speakers and I don't need high end or high volume speakers, those days are over I need my hearing more so, I just need decent sound at a decent cost. Amazon shipping was quick, recieved these one day early, now waiting to receive the 6.5's to go in the doors, they will be in tomorrow... very fast shipping.Update review: after mounting these speakers with my stock stereo, right off I noticed how bad they sounded, it was a bit disappointing. I thought, well maybe I just need a new stereo?... so I purchased a new stereo and the sound improved some but still didn't sound right, no bass too much midrange and very little highs even after stereo adjustments. So then I decided, perhaps I just need a good amp to push them?. So I purchased a 300 watt per channle amplifier, and WOW!!!... what a difference. These things hit good, sound is fantastic, the bass hits hard with no distortion, I can actually feel the sound now. I'm not much on high volume but I do like good sound, and these do really good for the price. I know some don't think these are that great, but I assure you, unless you get a bad set, these speakers are made for amplifiers, no cheap low watt stereo are gonna do these any justice, they are made for high wattage to get the best results... only a good amp will push these like they're intended. I upped my rating to 5 stars, they now sound so good I've forgotten all about that one little short wire I had to repair.
