It opens AND closes using the button on the handle. The down function is really fun. It's neat to see the umbrella fold itself up. The case is sturdy and fits perfectly in the trunk. It's a good size for one person and is very compact.Good quality umbrella with a fun open/close feature for the kid at heart who likes to push buttons.

I should have paid more attention when ordering. This is too heavy to toss in your purse or bag. But it is a beautiful and sturdy umbrella.

Pretty umbrella. Nice case. Only 38" at widest point. Might work best for a child. A great small umbrella if it worked. It didn't. I'll be getting my money back.

I bought the purple umbrella for my daughter, and she was excited to use it right away. It is very easy to open and close, but it does take some muscle to bring the closed umbrella down to its compact size. The umbrella is constructed well and is large enough to cover my daughter and her backpack. I ordered the gray umbrella for myself, but have not had the chance to use it as the rain has not returned. I am sure the case will come in handy, too.

It doesn't rain that much or that hard in San Francisco so this umbrella lasted about 2 1/2 years. There wasn't a problem with the replacement guarantee as long as I had my order number. The only issue is that it almost a full month to finally get the right replacement. Nichola was the rep I emailed back and forth with and she said that they didn't have the same color in stock and would ship me a different color (black). She was quite pleasant to work with. However, after having waited several weeks already, it was disappointing to have received a manual umbrella that wasn't even an automatic one like the one I purchased. I had to contact her again to let her know. She resolved it pretty quickly - this time with the right purple one. However, the turnaround time was a bit frustrating.The umbrella did not withstand strong winds and rain so I can't say that it's an extraordinary product, but I like the fact that they honor their lifetime guarantee without giving you hassle.

Handle was too short, therefore I had to return it.

The primary thing I like about this umbrella is its sturdiness. The "spokes" are not flimsy, so it can stand up to wind better than other unbrellas. I also like the zippered case that comes with it, particularly the ability to put the wet umbrella in it temporarily until you have an opportunity to open the umbrella to dry.

Ich habe den Schirm als Geschenk bestellt. Er kam zügig an und macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Die Idee mit der Reißverschlusshülle finde ich genial! Da hat mal einer mitgedacht. Der Schirm ist natürlich etwas schwerer dank der Hülle und dem stabilen Gestänge, dafür aber insgesamt deutlich besser verarbeitet als andere in der Preisklasse.Ich werde mir selbst auch noch einen bestellen :)

Very stable and substantial, and easy to put up and down. I really like it. The case is useful when getting to somewhere where you can't open it to dry. And then when you get home you can open it to dry. And that is very quick

A really nice umbrella and extremely useful zip up pouch for when the umbrella is wet to keep everything dry around it until you get home and can dry the umbrella properly. The only one thing that I have found is having the pouch with it does make the umbrella quite big would not go in my handbag easily and is a little bit heavier. Apart from that I am very pleased with the umbrella and pouch it is a lovely umbrella and lovely colour and easy to open (but be careful it is very fierce when it opens)
