Here's a versatile telescope designed to pack up and go whenever you hit the road, the trail, or the air. It excels for daytime birding, nature study, and scenic long-distance viewing, and will take you way beyond the Earth's horizon after sunset for some casual nighttime stargazing and Moon-watching. The 70mm GoScope II features a 70mm-aperture achromatic lens system for high-resolution images of distant subjects. The telescope sets up in seconds on the retractable aluminum tripod which features a three-way pan head and allows smooth, easy pointing of the telescope. The included compact tripod can be adjusted to hold the GoScope II refractor optical tube as low as 17.75" up to a 43.5" maximum height when the tripod legs are fully extended. For taller stargazers, the lightweight GoScope II can easily be placed on a table or other raised surface for comfortable use. It comes with a correct-image prism diagonal, quality 25mm and 10mm Kellner eyepieces (1.25"), and 5x24 finder scope. It's a complete observational system that tucks away neatly in the specially designed backpack. Weighs just 3.5 lbs. for easy portability.

Nice Travel Telescope
The view through the telescope is impressive. I'm can't compare it to anything else, but we have been happy with what we can see through it at least. You can see the craters on the moon, and many more stars than you can with the naked eye. So far so good. The mini scope on the side can only be used with your right eye as there's no pins to attach it on the other side.It comes with a moon map, and a dvd with software and a documentary of some sort. I haven't used, but my 7y/o daughter who I got this for said it was great. The tripod is sturdy and has flip to lock switches on each segment of the legs. It's a bit fiddly to attach the telescope to the tripod as the knob to turn the screw is a bit small, and there are several holes in the bottom of the telescope, so I find you have to look to find the right one or you'll end up trying to attach it to the wrong hole. Also it has a tendency to sag down from the angle you locked it in, so you have to lock it higher than the area you want to look at which can be a bit tricky. These are minor annoyances though. There's no real problem with it.The whole thing disassembles easily and fits comfortably into the bag. The scope and tripod have velcro straps to hold them in place, and there's a divider to separate the eyepieces, moon map, etc. The bag itself is ok, though seems fairly lightweight in terms of materials used. I wouldn't be betting on it lasting forever. For now though no problems with it.

Clear, sharp images.
Bought for someone else but did give it the once over. Thought the tripod could do with a bit more weight.
