Loma Linda, Cedar Lake, Worthington, etc. - Info and Where/How to find them and others.
I was raised on products by Loma Linda, Cedar Lake, Worthington, etc. I find the Choplets to be one of the better ones both in texture and taste, along with Fri-Chiks (veggie chicken nuggets), Skallops (veggie scallops); Wham (veggie ham) and Prosage (veggie sausage). Unfortunately, the products have become harder to find since the brands were sold and purchased by corporations such as Nabisco, etc. And the latter two I mentioned (Wham and Prosage) are sold in rolls vs. canned, not available here on Amazon. If you need to find the Choplets (or FriChik) and they become unavailable here, try looking for a Seventh Day Adventist book/food store in your area or a neighboring state. They carry a larger product line from these brands, and many of the stores will ship. If you buy in bulk, it's worth the shipping price (and usually the cost is lower than you'll find elsewhere). Some SDA churches also have deliveries brought in occasionally. Loma Linda is an SDA-based college (or it was), and they're the ones who developed most of these foods, which is why you can still find it through SDA stores at least for now. Hope this is helpful! :)

Don't buy.
The quality of the items being shipped has dropped drastically. This last shipment, out of three very expensive cans, two were badly dented. One was more crushed than dented. Had to throw it away. Terrible value for the money. Don't recommend this seller if this is what they are sending now.

A Taste of Childhood
I've been eating these all my life. They make a great vegetarian meal. But they're unavailable in my local grocery stores after moving, so I appreciate Amazon. I bread the choplets in AP flour with a little salt and pepper then pan fry them. I serve them with mashed potatoes and green beans, and I mix the broth from the choplets can with the remaining breading to make a gravy for the mashed potatoes in the same fry pan I used for the choplets. My mother used to make choplets that way, so I do, too...The cans did get rather dented in transit but not so much that it was a food safety issue; the cans remained sealed.
